Hello!

Any pouet.net system operator who knows where the pouet.net code is available?
And where to install such a service?

Greetings,
SoLo2 of BITS (bits.atari.org)

OMGWTFBBQ!

I'm not a sysop and I know where it is, but I won't tell you. And there's only one active guy in charge of pouet, I think.

Hello, Solo2. You can make your desired service with these simple steps.

1. Learn HTML+CSS+JS
2. Learn PHP/Python/Ruby/CFM/ASP/any_serverside_scripting_language
3. Go and buy some decent hosting.
4. Turn on your imagination.
5. ???
6. PROFIT!

Anyway, it will be a bit more useful than all your questions in this topic.

1+2: He's proven over and over again that he's not at all interested in learning anything.
3. Hah, "buy". He's selling, not buying.
4. Err.. yeah, that won't happen.
5. Now this one he has pegged!
6. Not likely. :)

Best would be:

- Don't feed this troll
- Don't rate his crap
- Don't comment his crap

And we all live happily ever after.

No, let him have his very own version of Pouet where he can put his commercial polluting shit.

It's not like a customized CMS or some quick ruby on rails/php on trax hack wouldn't get you there much faster.

But since he's allergic to common sense and decent hosting, I guess he won't make it anyway. ;)

gloom: just visited his site, watched some PC-demos. Yep, i've slightly overestimated his abilities :) Demos for sale, OMG, i thought you were joking.

tomaes: It would be a good experience to make a pouet clone from scratch, even for advanced developer. As for Solo, i simply can't understand his motivations for asking pouet source on pouet or making demos for six years without any significant progress. Maybe it's "not a bug but a feature"? :)

Vedem: that's exactly what Gargaj has made (beta site was fine except some minor layout issues)

Sure. But this is solo2 we are talking about. I don't have much hope he can pull it off, one way or the other. :)

aftu & niels, are you talking about the same site? If it was made before pouet, in the past century (OMG), it isn't online anymore, i guess. No, i'm not going to beg for it's sources! :) Just interesting.

Yes, we are :) But nobody is perfect. Actually, it's very interesting phenomenon, i mean all these unwanted demos and it's authors. Somehow it reminds me an E.F.Russel's novel "A little oil", don't know why. Can't believe that there's nothing behind it except stupidity and obstinacy. Though, maybe, i've simply forgotten about Occam's razor :)

Hello!

Would you like to stop registering at parties you have no intention of visiting?

Hello!

It would be interesting to make it flexible and sysop independent:
every contributor or submitter, can change the values of his articles,
alike wikipedia or the excellent database http://noname.c64.org/csdb/.

Result is nobody in charge, and still the "fix me beautifull" does work!

Now we need a sponsor, and maybe there is some profit in the future!

People can add comments like in pouet.net, and give the quality vote.
There is one-liner, top of the comments (maybe oepps),
different ordered browsing lists (software company, author, rank,
platform, type, ...), more than 1 screenshot per application
(everybody can contribute his/her screenshot), ...

A name?

Greetings,
SoLo2 of BITS (thebitsclub.tripod.com)
