The Silents is dead

category: general [glöplog]
i just imagine optimus taking part at a funeral, quoting some newfound goth poems. .. . .

anyway, it was nice to see tsl back once again. haven't even heard any official news yet, but i know that the tsl guys lacked a lot of time, so they couldn't be as active as they probably wanted to ..

it seems like the older groups have older members (naturally), and people have less free time as they get older and have career, family etc. So the groups are unable to produce (or produce fast made crap ;) so they decide to quit.

Does this mean when they retire, and their kids leave home, they will have the time to make demos once more, and the great old names will be reborn with new prods? Well anyway, I'm looking forward to the new 'silver sceners' prods :)

optimus, please keep your self-pitying bullshit out of threads in which it's completely irrelevant. thank you

psionice: good luck killing us all. We've got jobs, girlfriends and real life for years and yet we don't think about stopping. There are SO many fun things to do... ;)

kb: wait till you're married and have 5+ kids. Then you'll need more money... 2nd job comes in. Now you have only 6 hours per day with your family, and you need to sleep too. Time for demos? 0 hours.

Seriously, better make fr-033 pretty quick before you're too old, or you'll have no time to make the final ;)

kb: I am jealious of the people who can manage that. It's a thing I should go for too, but today I can't..

P.S. Almost feel crappy that other people have both a life & beeing succesfull sceners, and I am loosing for both plus more things. Like having people blaming you about that. You know how bad this feels? :(
But I am not really that bad anyways, just some lack of self respect perhaps, but that's an odd explanation anyways. But still..
Hmm,. I just thought I should start writting on Livejournal instead. I hope I won't have to write more in here, but why waste my time there too?

psionice, kb is german and as far as i'm concerned and as good as i got to know him in the last 7+ years, he will hopefully be intelligent enough not to get any kids.
added on the 2003-09-02 19:33:16 by dalezr dalezr
Plek: yes, I know that, and not from experience :)

Dalezy: I used to think that too. But recently I'm not so sure how intelligent it is to have no kids... You then have nobody to look after you when you get old, and have to rely on either being rich enough to pay somebody to do it, or rely on the state, and I'm not sure if the state will still be doing that kind of thing when I'm old.

But I'm sticking with my 0 kids plan for now still :)

btw, what has kb being german got to do with getting married and having kids???

I prefer beer for some reasons. Hopefully there will be enough for me in Germany. Friends adviced me to visit October's fest in Bavaria. I hope I'll catch up to go and know when and where it is..

Ouzo is too hot for me. Do you know Zivania? It's like Ouzo but coming from Cyprus and is stronger, my brother says about 50% alcohol(?), he adviced me to bring that for Dalezy, I hope I'll be able to carry some on my baggage and bring it with me to Germany, else perhaps I could find there or he could sent me some later. Btw,. did you know that I am half Cyprian? My mother is from Cyprus. My relatives are better there. I thought the people were better. But I don't know, we will all travel there again after I come back from Erasmus. I'd like to meet that place again..

While reading the subjects of my post, the 1st on this 3rd page, I noticed the title of the thread and burst out of laughter! =)

Optimus: I hate to tell you this. But while german beer is certainly great, the best beer is made in england, followed perhaps by belgium, germany, perhaps czech after that.

And hot sake rulez when you want a nice relaxing drink in the evening :) My wifes japanese friend brought us 1.8l barrel thing for us :)

People are giving me food.

I don't think this is quite so serious as a funeral dipswitch :) and it's common here at least to drink beer (perhaps ouzo too) after a funeral anyway.

But point taken, respects to the Silents, for the good stuff you brought us during the many years, and may you not rest in peace for long.
