The last problem in demoscene coding solved!

fart
Not useable in 4k == not useable at all. ;)

i've looked at gernot's solution before, it's really neat - although i prefer the raytraced route for metaballs nowadays. :)

Wow, a torus in the last video, the lost demostuff.

me like the histogram part, knew that before for some 2d things.

Sure you can use it in a 4K. Just claim it's part of the OS.

..and people wonder why norwegian sceners are so hardcore. :)

I don't get it, I thought most demos these days just consisted of:

int main(void)
{
ribbon();
}

just like you!
im glad we nailed that sucker!
I can not deny the fact that I'm an old fart ;)
Like most of you f%ckers :P

What I was saying is: Creating polgons from isosurface on the GPU has been done since the G80 chips though (~2006/2007). Or is the new thing that you can read back the polygons?

rare: you dont get it .. the g80 marching cubes is just a brute force implementation using the geometry shader. this histopyramid technique is much cleverer and works without geometry shaders. srsly, read the paper.

rare: NO polygons involved...pure bruteforce-geometries !
just march !
And Birkin, please share this term translated to English... I think it will fit my prediction!!? hehe

^^ i hope no1 gets me wrong there again ;)
photon: hmm. that's kinda hard. in dutch, such a person would be called "Koos Werkeloos". in english, that's smth like "Boyd Unemployed" (but it loses quite a bit in translation, tbh ;))
