needing help on 8bit cross tools like bin2cas and cas2wav

category: general [glöplog]

hi! since some months ago i started a project on transfering captured webcam pictures to 8bit computers with an audio mono cable, using the known commands for loading binary files from tapes to the display

http://nitrofurano.altervista.org/experimental/webcampictureson8bitcomputers/index.html

i only have the zx-spectrum and CoCo2 versions ready - where from can i get tools similar to bin2cas and cas2wav for all 8bit computers i still don't have a version ready, like msx, c64, atari800, zx81, apple2, thomson, vg5000, etc.?

thanks,
p.
wonderful would be if these tools were coded in interpreted languages i can run on Linux easily, like Python, Perl, Ruby, Lua, sdlBasic, etc.
For the atari 800, there's always the old tools like wav2cas: http://home.planet.nl/~ernest/atarixle.html, if that's what you're looking for.

@ggn - thanks! :)
@oswald - sadly, for these things, google is mostly not enough - experience and knowledge from people experimented personally specific kind of 8bit computers can help far better on pointing the best information among the chaos whe mostly find from google - that's why i'm asking here! :)
