The main guy at wab.com is ripping off my flashtros from www.flashtro.com
Example
My flashtro
http://flashtro.com/page.php?id=573
so called WAB "REMAKE"
http://wab.com/?screen=25
All this guy did was decompile my flashtro and rip all the gfx from the flashtro and ported the code.

Example #1:
http://wab.com/screens/025/starcolor.png is ripped from my flashtro however he stretched it to twice the size to make it fir on his screen.
my original size is 64-235 http://flashtro.com/starcolor-flash.png
His is 128-470. My flashtro image has loss colours that are not from the original intro because back when I made my flashtro I didn't care about colour loss when I made my gifs. And his image has the exact same colour loss as mine.

Example #2:
http://wab.com/screens/025/star.png Is ripped again from mine I know this because of my crappy gfx proggy at the time I chose 0xff0000 for the colour but when it converted it to GIF I had colour lose so my flashtro image colour for this star is 0xF02000 and so is his, coincidence ? I don't think so.

Example #3:
http://wab.com/screens/025/slayer.png
His slayer image size is 98-18 which is exactly double my image size. There is nothing special about my image size because I just randomly put a CUT BOX over my image and cut it out. So how can his be the exact same size ?

Example 4:
My 3d code points. He just ripped my flash code and ported it to his.
His letter "P"
myobjvert[80]=new Array({x: 465-495, y: 30, z: 0}, {x: 470-495, y: 7, z: 0}, {x: 495-495, y:-10, z: 0}, {x: 467-495, y:-30, z: 0}, {x: 525-495, y:-10, z: 0}, {x: 484-495, y: 7, z: 0});
My letter "P"
pointsArray = [make3DPoint(465, 30, 0), make3DPoint(470, 7, 0), make3DPoint(495, -10, 0), make3DPoint(467, -30, 0), make3DPoint(525, -10, 0), make3DPoint(484, 7, 0)];
NOTE: my points are not the same as the original I did them all by hand, so how can his be exactly the same as mine if he didn't rip ?

I have spent many hours making my remakes, this includes disassembling the original intro, ripping the gfx one by one assembling it all into one package.
I don't appreciate some punk coming along with a decompiler and stealing everything and porting it over and claiming it is all his work.

A ripper has ripped your ripped ripples... What a rape ! ;)

btw all wab shit are "open sourced", and under MIT licences, so USE it, lick it, make sex with it, sharing is fun... ;)

@alonetrio So that gives you the right to steal someone's hard work then upload it with your name on and claim you worked hard coding it.
I spent 8 hours on that remake you spent maybe 20 mins stealing my hard work then putting your gay label on it and claiming it as your own.

And it is not only this intro I noticed you have done it with a lot of your WAB intros... go learn some code before stealing other peoples.

You are not sharing my hard work so please stop and remove all of my intros you stole.

@musashi9 : please stop this drama, you're so ridiculous can't you read the replies you generated ??

you said : "I have spent many hours making my remakes, this includes disassembling the original intro, ripping the gfx one by one assembling it all into one package. "

i can say : "I have spent 20 minutes making my remakes, this includes decompil your "original" remake, ripping your "original" gfx one by one assembling it all into one directory."

does it make a lot of differences ?? Remakes are remakes... So stop crying and Enjoy oldskool spirit ;)

ps : the funny thing is, that all cracktro you remakes was done to promote teams that stole entire game dev team work... ;)

Wow, what a fucking loser you turned out to be.

I'll stop the drama when you stop claiming you worked on a remake that you didn't even remake, its just a port of a remake, not a remake!
A remake is taking the "original" code / gfx learning how it all works then errr REMAKING IT.

I would be fine with you labelling your intros as a port of a remake and even a link to the original flashtro you took everything from, giving credit where credit is due.

It is people like you who spoil the oldskool spirit and stop people like me creating oldskool "remakes" because we don't see the point when all our hard work credit goes to someone else who steals it.

Guys, the oldschool spirit is all about making remakes, not ripping off other peoples work and putting your own name at the start!

Yeeeeah, we're not really gonna take you seriously after your blatant ripping.

Jesus that looks awful.

Do like Rez does. Make oldschool look decent. That requires more than painfully trivial code accomplishing starfields, scrollers and crude 3D in a browser at a framerate that makes children cry.

But it's on the web, so it's hip. God I hate this day and age.

As much as I love html5 etc I dislike remakes. Make instead?

psonice: hehe. :)

the situation: nothing wrong with the framerate here. Choosing those (well used) effects shows an interest in classic platforms applied to an interest in html5. Can't say it did anything for me, but what if some good demo comes from this experiment?

Retro remake *cough* Razor 1911 *cough* ;)

I see the scene this way: Scene was created. It's all good. But of course not all releases are good. Feelings will bring controversy. Involvement creates a scene. And that's the way it will always be, a benign catch 22. Until there's noone left who wants to make that good release and make us all lamers. Something like that. :)

lol, what a stupid scenedrama :)
personaly, I must proudly admit that most of atari remakes were done using the Ultimate Ripper Cartridge :D

Damn... that's remakes... not creation... just for eye pleasure (and nostalgy) without running an emulator. And for me to discover that at those days, they coded incredible things not so easy to re-code.
