sorry about the *massive* increase in filesize. this was originally a 64kb intro.
ich bewahre meine Ruhe!

I liked the DOS-version. This is the same I suppose, but the size sucks.

I also love;

Never seen the original, this one looks nice and the music rocks. Kudos to macaw for porting it to windblows, if only he had the courage to add a compressed image loader ;-)

no stellan I dont agree,
why this sizeincrease?
I think its much better than ok =) but still not better than Spermfactory, moahhaha
rulez added on the 2002-10-30 01:18:45 by dubmood dubmood
Size suxx, but the intro itself is (still) cool. It's also not a 100% copy of the DOS version.
Differences: Added voice sample 'Bewahren Sie Ruhe', all greetings are now displayed on one screen (not group after group) and also more groups than in the DOS version, the look of at least one effect changed quite much.

nice stylish intro, and nice to have a win32 size, though the size really turns me off.

crest: i'm pretty sure the sample was also in the original version.

crest: i'm 100% sure the voice sample was included in the original version as well :)

This is the KIND!!

I would strongly advise you if your an epileptic or have any type of seizures don't even think about watching it, Very wild pulsating flashes in this one

Uhm. could you guys releax a bit? The reason for the size-increase is that i put the textures and fonts as BMP, since the old ones were hardcoded in Watcom C/C++ objects (though the textures were put as BMP already in the first final version).

Further the final-versions of this intro features a NON-DCT-PACKED version of the XM (i.e. higher sound quality and bigger filesize). The original DCT-DEPACKER had some bugs which caused the "bewahren sie ruhe" sample to not be played on all machines, so the voice sample is *NOT* new.

And Crest - i have not changed any lines of effect code, the major difference is that this version features C/C++ polyfillers rather than pragma-aux'ed asm-optimized ones... So i suggest that you watch the original once more :-D

And dumbmood, why do you keep bashing this productions? I thought you guys would be happy that i cared to make a port of something from *YOUR* groups history.

Haven't seen the intro yet, but I think it's great that people take the time to port old DOS stuff to Win32.
added on the 2002-10-30 09:07:13 by Sdw Sdw
indeed dubmood, this was the last decent razor production. the intro seems completely identical to the original, which was a 64kb executable. so can you guys stop whining AND SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THAT FILESIZE!?
rulez added on the 2002-10-30 09:59:57 by superplek superplek
seems like the syncing fucks up somehow.
is this just me?
added on the 2002-10-30 10:36:08 by delta delta
uh - macaw, i´d never expected you´d be so sensitive concerning criticism towards your own productions - for being a respected bashing-pioneer, being such a sissy really doesn´t suit you. :)
anyway - cool prod in 64k and it´s nice to have a windows port of it.

wtf is with u? I thumbed it up, so stfu and feel my sperms.

but this is not the last good production from razor, Rainbowstars is better, by far
added on the 2002-10-30 12:05:20 by dubmood dubmood
flaming is fun, but jeez, a petition to get rid of rzr? now thats sad, enough of the rzr bashing already, its getting very old (at least until they rls something else, and rzr you better make it good)

dubmood, you having an identity crisis or somethin?
'I think its much better than ok =) but still not better than Spermfactory, moahhaha' (with a thumb up)
and four posts later:
'uhm, the original is much better, this port more or less sux =) sorry'
if you didnt say such stupid things then maybe people wouldnt flame you as much eh?
oh, damn, did i just flame rzr?
added on the 2002-10-30 12:06:37 by graffik graffik
something that sux can still be thumbed up, if it sux more or less, men är man gammal gubbe then it can be hard to understand? so uhm graffiko w/e

read what you wrote, forget the thumb up....
'better than ok'
so, sux is better than ok?
and you thumb up products that suck?
by that reasoning i suppose you thumb down products that are great
added on the 2002-10-30 13:48:53 by graffik graffik
great visuals, even more great nu-school breaks music, only the synch could be more aggressive.

ryg | robotriot | macaw: Well, I have compared it with the original 64k dos intro (was never looking for a final version, but saw it now on scene.org - also a 950k+ zip file). and this original version has no voice sample and the colours in one effect are looking different.
added on the 2002-10-30 17:19:22 by Crest Crest
software rendering sucks
sucks added on the 2002-10-30 18:32:14 by Inopia Inopia
Crest: the voice sample *IS* also in the party-version, but as i wrote the depacker was leaking memory so in some cases the sample is too distorted to be heard.
c'est rocks. it's the win32 exeheaders doing the size increasment, or a tad of it anyway.
rulez added on the 2002-10-30 20:20:40 by protectin'myhive protectin'myhive
the exe header in win is the same as in dos prety much ;-) (portable executeble crap;)

anyways, prety boring intro imo, only good part was the RGB colors, so pigface

Quite OK.
It's nice to see a win32 port of good old demos, but why BMP format? PNG not good enough for you??
rulez added on the 2002-11-13 01:28:29 by sea_monkey sea_monkey

Cool music, some nice effects! I can't understand why you chose to use uncompressed bmps though, that's pretty lame.
