thanks to my personal slave robotriot for submitting this release!
it's my first intro, our second release. just a joke, but the people liked it a bit!

cool models featuring an ugly midi - tune and ripped code... hmm. (sorry, this comment might be hard for you, but voting for his own prod sucks!)

nice intro, but very slow on my p3/450+gf2mx ... should be possible to make it run quite smooth imho... Otherwise nice ... (cell shading seems to be quite hip these days)

it's ok pro, i think concrete sun is as good as my intro, the audience decided at ms2k2 and it rulez compared to my other prods!

and Inopia: wait for a final version where you can change the resolution. it's made for the compo-pc. check out www.beam.to/panorama in a few days!

this celshading looks quite buggy (the shadows on the cars seem to go out of nowhere)..

r2k: na.. i never complained about the places or something.. 9th place is really cool for an intro which was shown almost w/o visuals due to bad lighting in the hall and its bad dark colors(1.5 day prod) . i never told about ccs in here.

i'm just complaining about your selfvoting. (and about ripping code from tutorials...)

blah.

The train model was quite nice, but beyond that there wasn't much more than generic techno and generic tunnels. Looked like it was going to be so much more at the start.
it's midi.. and it sounds good? strange!
i love the train..
and i love the colors..
but i can't tell actually why?! ;)
good work although!

Nice train, but not too many effects and no design. The music wasn't that bad, I was quite surprised when they said it was aq MIDI.

reaktor2k: I think concrete sun/skp was waaaay better than this intro, even though it wasn't a master piece either... There's nothing more lame than self praising own shit productions. And there sure was a lot better intros in the compo that didn't made into the top10.

pro>> you say the code is ripped, but where was the code ripped from then?

NeZbiE : The author of "Bimmelbahn 2002" sat at our desk and some time came over and asked if it might be possible that cel-shading is quite cpu-expensive ? I told him that it is not really the case, since it doesn't involve much more than a matrix multiplication and a dotproduct per vertex, because this is not really a problem on nowadays CPU's with these low poly-counts. He then told me that he doesn't know the algorithm, because he got the code from some tutorial. Another piece of code that is ripped is the .obj-loader that was used in the intro.

Besides, I didn't like the prod, the models look okay, but it had absolutely not style and I hate the Midi-Tune.

nufan, the obj-loader is not ripped!
NeZbiE: look at nehe.gamedev.net for the cel-shading tutorial

nufan, try to produce an equal sounding MIDI instead of using a XM !
it's much harder to use just the 128 midi-instruments then to use professional samples from cd !

djdaelch : Why the heck should I ? I'm no musician and I can't find any reason for using midi instead of xm in my releases. It doesn't interest me whether it's a midi tune, an xm or an mp3, I just don't like it. I guess you gotta accept that.

And once again : Upvoting your own productions sucks.

Another nice little intro with the cartoonish rendering, applied upon some nice models in greyscale. I only didn't like the flashy parts..
