I remember this was stunning when I saw it but I can't get it to work with WINUAE. :(

There was part of the music I remember and I am sure Oasis ripped it for Wonderwall or one of their sad songs! If it aint ripped then it sounds VERY similar!

BUt yeah this is a cool demo and really advanced!

Ahh, NewTek.. one of my favourite companies, producing THE best 3D software known to mankind, Lightwave. And this demo reel is classic too, although not a demoscene production :)

.. and it works just fine on WinUAE, just like 99.999999999% of all (non-AGA) stuff nowadays. No special tricks needed either, just a normal A500 config.

Yeah, it's more of a commercial presentation/advertisement than a scene production, but it was among the most impressive pieces of software I saw around that time, and I think it even had some never seen before display modes or graphics trickery.

Lovely, this brings back memories... Back when videoplayback and sampled stereo sounds were still cool :)

Funny enough, one of the videos looked familiar... it was also used in this demo.

By the way, this thing consists of 2 disks, second disk can be downloaded here.

Either use 2 blank floppies, label them as "Demoreel3" and "Demoreeldata", and extract the archives onto the floppies, or extract them to your harddisk and use the assign command.

It indeed works fine in WinUAE, that's where I watched it, since all my real Amiga's are... slightly... damaged *sniff*.

Ah, this was amazing back then. Brings back memories of the days when seeing really mindblowing stuff was a lot more common :)

Love that classic scroll text, "The infinite NewTek sends fuckings to -Trip Hawkins- of Electronic Arts for being a pathetic figure and a pityful liar"
