+good visuals.
-too much of a "flyby" feeling.

Most I liked the non-flyby effects, like the "spider web-sun effect".

Reminds me of MFX-style techno demos.. though without as much style. It would need more consistency, though. Lots more.

Crashes on 9800XT as well.

felt a bit rushed at the end, but overall feeling looked quite polished.

feels rushed a bit, too much reuse I guess; apart from that, very massive.

This is a partyrelease and unfortunately what didn't make it was the things that give you a fuzzy "uhmmm"-feeling. We're preparing a final release that hopefully contains that last special something.

As for the crashes, the prod should basically run on everything with ps2.x. If you experience a crash, please be so kind as to email me the bin/std*.txt.

It's a good demo, but it runs to slow for what it is.

Ok, this is not the final, but apparently I compiled it for sse2 - which is not supported on older amd-processors. Compatibility-version available here:

I like some of the effects. It reminds mfx demos. Music was average, in typical style for this kind of prods. Deserves thumb up anyway.

Would have been great if my video card could handle it. Looks good still.

Thanks for the fix Hornet, npw it works. :) Nice demo, I like the visuals quite a bit. The music on the other hand is totally not my cup of tea, thus a piggie. :)

My video carp crapped out after the first sequence. Still a lovely demo. #1 and #2 at Meltdown were just class. Well done.

The start is preety cool, the part with the blue fractal dots and the next part are the most beautiful looking. Sometimes too repeatitive demo and stays a long in one scene, but there are these good elements for someone to watch!

- the final should be done at the end of next week.

Fair enough - this is a version in xvid... it still has evil corporate mp3 sound-compression though ;)

Wow, very nice ! and I agree, very mfx- like (the beginning).
rulez added on the 2006-10-24 10:29:59 by Navis Navis
good use of the "bake lighting" button in the 3d tool of your choice.. :)
not a bad demo - although some of the fx parts are too simple and look dated (but some are quite nice), and the 3d scene, while quite good looking, is static and a bit overused - i hoped the scene was moving on from the "static scene and cameras" thing.
anyway, yeh, not bad.
added on the 2006-10-24 14:26:34 by smash smash
oh, this was really boring...beginning was nice, rest was way to simple.

Sounds like Loopit all the way to the fact that it crashes here :(

Why thank you! We aim to please - even doing final versions for added enjoyment! ;)

If the compatibility-version of the demo crashes, please email me the std*.txt from the bin-dir. I do suspect you have run the straight partyversion though.
added on the 2006-10-26 12:47:04 by hornet hornet
Hard and pounding. Worked well at the party place - if only the orgaz hadn't been so cheap on the volume button! This track must be played loud! A bit short tho - looking forward to the final (and the final video).

cool!!!

+the intro
+sincro
+effects
+modelling
+colors

In some moments the soundtrack is so repetitive, that a good effect, lacks of interest, like you've been staring at it during ages.

We've done a separate interactive release of a the fractals scene from this demo. It's available here - press [TAB] to access the fun stuff (top four sliders is what you want to mess around with).

some scenes are staying on the screen too long, but I dig great music score and some nice modelling.

nice techno music, but not the most fun effects in my opinion
