WoW!
Awesome! Some demo with an actual story!
My personal #1 of this party. Marvellous!
Decent work from LFT. My personal favourite (but i have to watch all demos again to decide finally ;) Best thing is the sync of Music and Visual... nice story.
Great demo :)
Two disksides, everything including the loader by one person. That alone would've been impressive, but the effects are cool and original, the soundtrack is sweet, and the graphics style is coherent. Winner.
C64 demo with a consistent theme! And it's even executed well, damn. Preemptively calling out that this should've won.
some very nice and fresh effects, design, good tune and a purring cat. what's not to like here?
Absolutely lovely!!!
Really nice stuff! Would love some additional information about the new hardware tricks and how they work. Fun to see a demo that breaks properly in Vice nowadays :D
Everything done by lft ! hugely impressive !
superb style
WHOOOOOOOOOooOO. Amazing, beautiful, fresh, incredible. How did this not win!?!? Perhaps the name-voting power was too low, because it was - incredibly - made by LFT only. Mind = blown.
The music was perhaps a little too melancholic even for my tastes. ;) Personally, I would have broken the harmony a tiny bit with some Spanish/diminished/jazzy/abstract stuff.

Ferris: It works in VICE, but you might need to run x64sc rather than x64. (You should be doing that anyway.)
Fantastic style, rarely seen such a coherent c64 demo.
Super awesome one man prod! Huge respect !
what utz said. Coherent - right definition.
It would have to be the 1st!
It would have to be the 1st!
Flow!
the work in this in tremendous but it would have benefitted from a slightly better job in the gfx/color department, imho.
Well, cant be top of the game in everything and still doing things like this in under 10 years of time I guess...
lft rulez.

lft rulez.
Exactly what utz said. Also, just brilliant for a one man prod.
As previously mentioned, a strong one man show. While the code is the strongest part, combined with a good visual theme and some nice audionoiseparts to set the right mood. The melodies is the weakest part IMHO, but overall still a thumb.
Nice and consistent theme, good effects, good entertainment, good music.
That was something really unique, enjoyed it quite much :)
Lunatico had really excellent direction, kept me riveted to the screen in ways that demos rarely do!
What Radiant said. And even the beginning with Workbench alone deserves the thumb.
LFT for president!
As a C64 demo this is really something else; rarely do you see this kind of flow on the platform. Technically, aesthetically and aurally a pleasure as well.
Graphics look a bit iffy at times (also: those guns remind me of a certain pouet logo :), but the tech research and some of the effects are surely top of the line. Great note file too. Most groups don't bother with note files anymore, but this one is not only very long and informative, but also serves a purpose related to the demo.
Incredible demo.
Radiant: Nice, what's the difference between the two VICE versions?
A great notefile and an even greater demo. I'll take my hat off and bow to you.
One of my favourite C64 demos, now :)
ferris: One is cycle accurate, the other isn't. Basically a rewritten emulation engine from what I gather.
And now for something completely different....
x64sc is the cycle accurate one (if you havent figured yet), downside is it eats a lot more CPU (which shouldnt be a big problem in this day and age on regular PCs, but may be for some weaker handheld/embedded ports).
wysiwtf: thanks!
Nice
So this is what an ASD demo for C64 would look like.
Great work, man! Respect
really cool, nice flow
when You thought, one can't squeeze anything new out of breadbox...
cool.
cool.
Incredible for an one-man show. Also, perhaps the world needs more melancholic demos.
superb!!
Incredible transitions, design, and effects!
...the best design and flow for a C64 demo I can recall by now...
holy fuck
Wow! It's atleast 15 years since a demo captured me in this way! It sparked something in me that I haven't felt in a long time! Thank you! It's beautiful!
Damn, this is so good..
Oniric, classy, innovative, technical, romantic, distinguishable, fresh, inspired, inspiring and from the same man. What should a release give more than this, should make you coffee the morning after?
I like it, good atmosphere it is
For couples of month I was wondering if we will see any new big projects from you... as I am sure you are very busy and even more as the family get bigger!? (if I am correct)... The music & sound is amazing! I am also curious about the new tricks you have found - which is something I look to check in your .d64 once I finish to view (re-view) the prods from X2016! The animated rain drop pattern make me though about a demo and article (http://cpc.sylvestre.org/articles/articles_makingof4.html) related with the Amstrad CPC by Les Sucres en Morceaux.
A very nice demo... but I hope next time that we could see more colors!

Coder porn and good style and flow, but I also think that this demo would have benefitted from a graphician.
Holy shit. O_o
I like how it turned out. I don't necessarily think it needed more colors, like others say. I do think the bouncing ball scene with the large scroller text was a little out of place, but other than that this is excellent.
Great demo, nice music and great ideas!! :)
simply wow!
Sweet!
totally incredible one man's prod °__°
lft you truly RULEZ, I don't know how it's possible to be so good in all parts :D

Very polished demo for C64.
Decent. :)
This is really wonderfully atmospheric, much more so than any of the other X releases. Well done!
rokrok.
Speechless!
Fantastico. Great style and ideas with marvelous tunes.
So nice.
I really like the woodwind-like sound in the music, or whatever I should call it. Like a clarinet, almost?
Also, some great VIC-II trickery going on. The bumpmapped rain part is really clever!

LFT delivers, as usual. I'd be very interested to read a write-up about the new VIC thecniques used.
O_o--b
nice
Perfect demo! And done by ONE guy? AMAZING. LFT is a *machine*.
insane
Good in every field, the best in the compo IMHO.
btw... thumb up (which I already did) for the Amiga Workbench intro in that demo! The soundtrack is also amazing!
Very nicely made, with properly fitting music. Like an ASD demo on C64. Lost me a little toward the end, though.
A thing of beauty is a joy for ever
That is quite dreamy. One of my favorites in the compo.
I noticed there were 3 screens that wouldn't work on winvice, the flickered wrong screens, but I later found there is another executable for accurate emulation. I am wondering what kind of hardware trick these screen achieve that is hard to emulate. Did LFT invented some new tricky stuff again?

better than perfect. should have won.
Nice! I like the rain particularly.
loved it
what ferris said. my attention span is too low by a factor of three to really appreciate this on its audiovisual qualities alone
Lovely!
Nice job guys :)
very fantastic prod! this demo rocks!
True class here. Amazing new tech delivered in a well oiled sleek package. Love the little touches in the soundtrack, especially the filter choice when the turn disk screen appears, made it sound like it was coming out of an old commodore monitor!
impressive!
Great design!
Codewise this should have won for sure!
But it lacked more colors to win. I guess this has to do with your new VIC-trickeries, but grey/blue isn´t too attractive! ;)
Music is more than splendid!
I see why this has not won, but it still should have won i think.

Refreshing
Tech pr0n with style. The expected lft blend.
Yes!
Impressive!
missing thumb is missing
damn impressive
I just watched this once again and I truly think this is one of the best demos of 2016. On all platforms. Same goes for the exquisite soundtrack. This thing needs to be showered in Meteoriks.
I'm not fond of long slow-pacing C64 demos. But this one is...
Perfect pacing for such an atmosphere. The show is so stylish and coherent (fx, gfx, music). All done by a guy alone!? My Number 1 choice for 2016 - and a late missing thumb.

That soundtrack is epic + what others said
"lft (code, music , graphics, loader)" - and A DISK COVER PRINT OUT?
You had my thumb after 20 seconds. And still you kept on coding, designing and composing , ... how can you...
Wait, NOW I KNOW: I found this secret video where you can see ALL THE LFTs involved in creating the demo, esp. the rain related scenes. Watch the first few seconds closely!

this got style!
Hummmm. I like the music, but, pardon me, I was not blown away by the demo itself. Perhaps cause I am not a C64 coder. Nor the story did attract my attention, neither.
ALL THE AWARDS FOR LFT! \o/
Beautiful and insanely massive one-man production with a dreamlike quality to it.
Treasurebox full of finest-polished gems
What a masterpiece! I've got shivers all over
what they said
Nice style and lots of content.
Just Beatiful
This demo deserves more attention.
Absolutely. I love it to bits. It is the perfect blend of technicality and artistic expression. One can probably criticise some dubious choices in motion design and graphics, but this would be nitpicking. It is in the league with the greats. Maybe it is too introspective to be universally liked?
Awesome demo!
just wow!
such great prod and polish!
Have i not thumbed up this awesome thing
how bad
how bad
Absolutely brilliant! Plus add everything good that has already been said about the demo here! ;)
Just great
really great
I know it's awkward to admit, but this demo absolutely makes me cry every time. And I don't mean just a single tear. I hope this conveys how much I appreciate this demo. The C64 scene does amazing things but there is only one Lunatico.
