Looks like "RaD Man" survives round 2. :)

In other news, I plan to take a snapshot of all "scene-related" articles on Wikipedia on the last day of 2004. It will be interesting to see how these transform and what is new come December 2005. :-)

VfD:Wikipedia and VfD:http://wikipedia.org

I'm sure we can do it! To achieve this outstanding goal, we'll only have to follow a few simple rules:

- make sure you use a lot of acronyms and "buzzwords" to show that you know what you're talking about. primary candidate of choice is "Vanity", "nonPOV" and "semi-policy" coming right behind (and no real wikipedian will want to argue against semi-policy)
- claim users who oppose our vote to be sockpuppets, because - as we learn from wikipedia itself - sockpuppets are bad. important: do it *before* they allege the same of you; be careful, though: only users with few post are suitable for the "sockpuppet" label (it's a wikipedia semi-policy). you can safely call others myopic, though.
- post this VfD suggestion on the 1st of april. that way it'll look like a prank, and probably even some of the more serious users will vote for deletion simple for the sake of humor. afterwards, after achieving a 2/3rd majority, claim it to be a valid poll and insist on enforcement. soothe the minds via suggestion of review/undeletion after a small "cooldown time". if people complain and demand an instantaneous review, refer to "abuse of VfD" (semi-)policy and demand censorship of those who claim.

after all this said and done, lean back and look at this picture:

ChaosCom,

I think someone has beat us to the punch. Deleting history on Wikipedia is now a recognized "extreme sport". :-)

This is the funniest thing I've seen yet.

the fact that wikipedia doens't have a self-referential link under 'useless' says it all for me.
Paniq's in a panic!
I gave up on the site long ago. Nowadays, if I ever want to "contribute" something to Wikipedia, I preemtively immediately vote to have it deleted mid-way through so I don't waste my time.
