Jeenio/PS : I did a quick scan of budget flight prices on your route this afternoon @ work.. Seems that the cheapest option I can find is GermanWings' Lissabon-Cologne return flight for about 185 euro. Tickets from Cologne airport to Emmerich are 22.10 euro/person.

The last quarter of 2008 has some nice party's on the calander. One of them is demozone! Check the wesbite for more information and dont forget to visit the part in the land of cheese, red light district, tulips, and weed !

for promo, i'd like to underline that utrecht is close to *every* dutch airport (except aachen maastricht but even that one's only 2 hours), that the ICE from cologne/ruhrgebiet stops there and that it looks like it's going to be a great party!

also, for the unoriginal touristy types, amsterdam is only half an hour by train away.

Screbbel: Demozone 2008 will be the best party held in holland ever I am sure. With great competitions, a nice atmosphere, friendly surroundings, nice orginizers and that all in our beautifull country!
Who wouldn't be there ? I will take atleast one prod. with me!

Just for the record:

Besides the Dutch airports, Düsseldorf/Weeze (aka Niederrhein or Laarbruch) (Ryanair!) is also a suitable destination for your Demozone travel plans. Just give me a shout so I know when to pick you up, and give me a few beers or a pizza during the party so I don't forget to bring you back ;)

ryanair is currently offering tickets to/from a lot of these destinations for 0,50 or 1,00 EUR + taxes...

havoc: and.. don't forget that the actual process of payment is also 20 EUR ;)

the information provided in Showtime 18 about demozone 2008 is completely incorrect... :((( showtime editors copy/pasted our 2006 infofile but changed the article's title to demozone 2008. please visit our website for up to date and factually correct information about the party.
