farbrausch's libv2 with vista

category: general [glöplog]
did anybody else run into trouble linking to Libv2 using Vista?

in fact everything builds just fine - but as soon as I want to call ssInit() it fails ...

... or is this a known issue?! :)

There's a bug in libv2 that wasn't discovered yet because XP simply didn't care enough to crash.

I won't be able to fix it in the next days, but if you care, try finding the dword constant 176000 in the .lib file and replace it with 176400. This fixes the wrong WAV header I'm sending to DSound and might be the solution ;)

Yeah, Kb is busy adding sample support atm, he won't have time for bugfixes.

Kb_: right? ;)

come on dude - I'm not really in a mood to start off a discussion in here - but perhaps you could get some disks from around 1991-1995 to see that my icon is not just chosen randomly :)

Anyway ... let's enjoy this beautiful day and hope that www.atari.org will be back soon ...

you might want to post the offset where the dword is so other people can fix it too?

No problem ... the offset where to change the mentioned dword is 0x0000AC88 (44168)

Hey SLiPPY, you sound so serious ! Sorry i was just joking, its kind of a running gag with ripped logos on Atari prods.

I did not really want to doubt your Atari routs or stuff.

Sick humour..;-)

your atari avatar is badly anti-aliased against white background.. it does not look good on pouet-blue

Bartman: I think it looks good that way. The most obvious way of doing things isn't always the right way.
