I did not try it but since there is at least one person that has tried it (s0r in this case), the answer must be: yep. (q.e.d)

it certainly doesn't augment my graphics skills, but it looks competent.

Tried it too, really fast for a photoshop clone made in flash(?).

There is a bug here: You must zoom in at least to 400% or something to use the smudge or blur...

I have tried a few online paint programs and sumo is the most convincing so far.

But without pressure sensitivity you might as well be using MS Paint.

Mhmm, another flash based photoshop clone? Here's another one:

http://www.splashup.com

I can't remember the name of the first one I encountered (must've been a few months ago, "pixl" or something...).

sorry for not being openminded, but who the fuck would use that.
tomaes: Faux-to, aka Splashup now, is the first one I saw, 2.5 years ago.

Did it have layers etc. back then? The program I remember was a one-man student project. Maybe it's the same altogether.

tomaes: yep it had layers, brushes, blending modes, ... I remember Flash 9 was very new when I first saw Faux-to and being impressed by the speed of the blending operations.

Amazing stuff for flash. The actual painting tools are pretty poor though.
