i develop on xp & osx on a white macbook, but the most 'pimped' model they released until the shit went aluminium (2 gig ram, 250gb hdd et cetera)

and then i have a system with the nvscene '08 demokit specs that basically just sits there, makes backups and runs my p4 server and is used to run anything that requires real graphical output

and i got a modded xbox with xdk firmware on it somewhere in a closet. but that's past-prime i suppose.

You remember that green-tinted windshield you use to have with constructs? Yeah, this kinda reminds me of it. Given that I find it nice-looking.

Not fast enough yet....cant play Stunts yet and Die Hard is slower than on my 8086 @ 7.5Mhz. I might upgrade to either 8086 or Nec V30 soon. :P

@ neoneye

Since I do not know much about Macs I have a question, can you upgrade their hardware individually or should you buy a new one with upgraded features?
added on the 2009-08-20 15:24:26 by Defiance Defiance
@Defiance last year I upgraded the harddisk from 80 or 120 g to 500 gb. It wasn't that difficult to take the box apart. The graphics chip is on the motherboard, so it's not really upgradable.

Would love to have 2 hdmi outputs though.

It is good to hear that you can upgrade the HD with ease. They shouldn't have integrated the GPU with the mother board though. They probably did that in order to reduce the size. What about the RAM? Is it upgradable?
added on the 2009-08-20 15:38:41 by Defiance Defiance
yep. in the 2006 macmini max amount of ram its only 2 gb. Hopefully max is raised on newer models.

bartman: A ET4000 will work in a 8 bit slot? I have 2 ET3000 one with 8 bit isa and one 16 bit...both work fine....except all the 800x600 resolutions are somewhat missing...

My dick is 3,60m. I have only one though.

And then I have a Notebook and a Netbook. Those work quite well too...

I'll be looking for an A1200 with an accelerator, but only after I have moved next month.

Oldish notebook with less RAM than your unexpanded vic20. Like to buy something new but grad school will be expensive. :(
