Much arguing ensued, esp. on some Russian-speaking forums. And after a while some other people just got tired of all this arguing and decided to get unreasonable too.
As usual, many reasonable people got caught in cross-fires.
I think this is beyond healing at this stage. It is best to leave it be. It gets quite nasty otherwise.
