Folder comparing, menial task?

Yeah, I used directory opus a hell of a lot, back in the amiga days and then in windows more recently. Not used it for a while though since i don't use windows all that much any more, and don't need to move files around so much. Which is lucky, because there's no dopus for mac ;)

Careful there psonice, you may get thrown into the random apple bashing thread. ;)
DO, TC, whatever, they are all great tools. in the end a matter of personal taste.
let's put gargaj's quote to "how can someone work without a two-column-based tool" :-)
(and thanks to TC's tabbed columns it's even better now ;))
I tend to go mad when having to work with people that use explorer-like file managers as they usually don't find anything and get lost in 27 open windows.

I used to use Dopus on the 'miggy and thought it was really well laid out. Admittedly FC that I'm using is even better still, (compared with what I'm used to.) As a bonus, I can use it to sync Folders. \:D/
dopus also syncs folders (i used to use that heavily), and does the tabbed columns thing. I like it laid out with a split screen for two views, both views tabbed so I can keep access to all the servers handy, and both sides have the explorer style folder list for quick moving about. It's a seriously great tool.

Last time I looked for something like this on the mac there was one, but it was pretty basic. I just use finder really now, with the column view (which rules too actually, i hope they put this in dopus :) Still, I need 2 windows open often, and for anything complex dopus is sorely missed.
