Ray Bradbury, author of Fahrenheit 451, has died :(

While he wasn't to my personal taste, due to the fact that books were being burnt & I didn't like that so much, what he wrote, particularly in that book, is not too dissimilar from the situation here in the UK, where lots of people follow soap operas to the detriment of everything else.

Mind you, he was 91, so he had a good long life ... we've got to be thankful for that, I guess.

Thoughts, anyone ?

The book Fahrenheit 451 is pretty popular among high school students in Austria, several classmates of mine delivered speeches about it in the English class. I however have not read it (yet).

that man wrote some of the best fiction mandkind has ever managed to create.
while f451 is a classic, it's not among my favourites of his works.

Among his many books, "The Martian Chronicles" and "Fahrenheit 451" are my favourites.

He was one of the best writers ever.

He will live forever.
