"this is how your stuff could look like if you would have any talent" :(

pixtur, nice initiative. I haven't done any modern demodesign, so not sure how the workflow is nowadays, but paintover looks very useful for early concept work. I will be following this thread.

Come on, someone else post a screenshot as well :)

Gargaj: the talent needed to produce that first screenshot and the talent pixtur needs to prettify it aren't the same, that's all. Preacher and pixtur just have different talents.

The lesson: work in a team with a good coder and a good designer. And talk early and often.

And yes, get the musician and anyone else involved early too. Any musicians want to do a 'sound over' for the screenshots posted here? That would be seriously cool too :)

No screenshot to post for me, no time to make stuff lately :(

Oh no... that talent-discussion again... Just the thought of Preacher lacking talent for visual design is funny.
The least useful thing you can with paint over is to show off. For me it's about getting and communicating ideas. Getting a different perspective on something.

I think that gargaj is talking in general and with tongue in cheek, certainly not about preacher or anyone specific.

Now I'm eagerly anticipating a potential Still vs. Traction/BRS co-prod. :)

This might be the most awesome thread on pouet in a long time.
Most depressing, too.

Still, I want to see more of this.

I actually like the simplicity of the very first one, and just flipped it horizontally.

This is a thread that just keeps on giving :)

It feels really weird to see my own work interpreted in this manner, especially since I know where it goes from the part that you've seen (hint: it's nothing like any of these colors or shapes). But it's also made me totally rethink my work, which is pretty much what the point is. Awesome :) I will definitely use some things here...

Also, someone else: post a screenshot, please :)

Maybe it's not the best timing so short after a large party where everyone popped all the fireworks :)

Preacher: Here you go. And old concept I made pick up again:BB Image

mog and zoom: These are quite awesome! Mog, I have to try that concept with picking colors from a bus-stop picture...

pixtur: it just fitted somehow, as if it's a bus stop in 2070 - where the bus docks into that orange thing, while people travel down in the glass elevator on the left (the purple'ish thing).
Dunno why, but I could see haujobb or moppi having such thing as demo (more fleshed out, and more awesome though :P)
