1st thoughts: realtime raytracing *on mobile*, are they nuts?!

2nd thoughts: this actually looks pretty promising. You can render your scene normally with OpenGL, shade it normally using shaders, but then cast rays from there for lighting, reflections or whatever using the tracing hardware. Then run more shaders on the results.

It's worth keeping in mind that even without the ray trace hardware, it's a pretty high end mobile GPU, with more power for regular rendering than an iPhone 5S. If it can maintain regular rendering performance, while offloading lighting and stuff onto the ray trace hardware, we could end up with pretty graphics that run faster.

How well it actually works in practice and how much benefit there will be to it we'll have to wait and see, and I doubt we'll see this in devices before 2015.

Ok, finally we are where we belong!
Now someone make a Raytraced Scroller with it, as you know they´re forever! :D
