oh my f***k.. It's scary how much the c64 demos has evolved in the last couple of years. When will it end? Hopefully never because it's so darn nice too watch a demo that feels like a punch in the face! Amazing!

The most unique, artistical, designed C64 demo I have ever seen!!! Gfx and music are great! And all the effects are preety nice to watch too. Plasmas have done before but now with more colors and a logo in front. Rubber bars were very cool. My favoritest are the textures (finally with some big nice gfx!) and then the vector thingy. But the great stuff, is 3 musics, design, syncing, graphics. I watch it mostly with the 1st and the 2nd music. 1st seems to sync more and with better feeling with the transitions that show or make dissapear the gfx/colors. 2nd music seems to sync/change feeling exactly when the lyrics start to play, great feelings! 3rd seems to be something in beetween but not so hot. And the demo cycles too! I could let it play and play and play in a show forever!!! Finally a C64 demo that makes me horny again =)))

everything has been said already. i'm pretty impressed, it's really fresh - nice to see that dane's helping out bd keeping up doing nice releases. the musick selector is a great invention, it makes you check the demo at least 3 times.

btw, too bad the tunes itself don't go along nice with eachother, else it's superfun checking the demo on 3 c64s simultaneously :)
rulezadded on the 2004-03-04 12:42:01 by dalezr dalezr
Great stuff, HCL RULES!

Such nice gfx, design and code. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't MORE, a second disk side would have been nice! :)

Go Sweden!
rulezadded on the 2004-03-04 14:05:02 by Sdw Sdw
Heh, the demo only takes about 400 blocks with all 3 tunes. Had there only been more time...
added on the 2004-03-04 14:54:08 by Dane Dane
dalezy: i wouldn't call it an "invention", exactly.

it didn't blow me away, but i do admire the multi-speed music. and you get a little musicdisk of more, to boot. the gfx give it atmosphere and more of an amiga/pc feel. the twister at the beginning is a very clever stretching illusion. dane and hcl definitely make a good team, hope to see more when hcl gets back!

Can't believe I haven't voted for this one yet. Someone noted that everything had been said, but I'd like to add that I loveloveloveloveloveOOOOlovelovelove the *starting descriptive engine _v_001* metal-twisting-shining-bar-thingy. Slick, gorgeous, neat, what is there not to like from this burner apart from a slight discrepancy in the original-artwork-department? ......... Actually, nothing, zip, nada, zerosville. Go HCL! Go Dane! Go Jailbird! Go Booze Design!

Nice trick to include 3 soundtracks, it "forces" people to watch it 3 times in a row (which is definately not a burden in this case :-) The 2nd soundtrack is the best IMHO and the rest of the demo is... simply amazing...
