A demo that appeared at the end of the era of the almighty A1200 (030/50) ! A MUST ! Amiga coders have nowadays lost the grace...

yes, a MUST SEE for amiga fans. good music, and a very good colour composing in some scenes.

Unbelievable. Only 3 comments for one of the best demos ever released on Amiga. The last demo by the famous coding duo Equalizer and Offa. Fantastic music, awesome visuals and cool and original effects. An absolute classic!!

Is it possible to find anything bad in this demo? No, I don't think so.
rulezadded on the 2002-01-06 16:13:33 by bumbu bumbu
This is really one of my all-time favourite demo for Amiga.

Especially the frist part of the demo and the water effects is what really makes it stunning!

Too bad that it ends a bit suddenly, like it's not 100% finished.

But it does surely deserve at RULES :)

Astounding effects and design. Such a shame TBL didn't manage to sustain this standard once their core members left.

i dislke most of the textures and the music in some parts ... but wtf ... the effects rock! and it has a picturezoomer ;)

How come that this, one of the most astonishing demos on the amiga, got not even more than 10 comments?... get a grip on yourselves! - are the demos on the PC-scene amusing you?... c'mon!

Along with tint one of my favorite TBL prods. Except for some of the more cheesy 3d-parts.
rulezadded on the 2003-04-29 15:01:21 by jar jar
Fantastic demo !!!
The initial picture zoom, tunnel effect and tv 3d scene is fabulous.
Water effect is the best i've ever seen.
A must see.

A classic between classics. Not have the feeling of Tint, but is better in every piece of coding, design or music.

Hooray to the new WinUAE! Seen the AVI but lossless 50fps is so much nicer. :)

Tint, Goa, and Glow still hang after the first part though, grr.

Prolly my favourite TBL prod, along with Tint of course ;p And prolly my 2nd/3rd favourite demo after after Revenge
of Babbnaasen and Virtual World.
I'm a major TBL fanboi :)

A very good production from TBL. Their demos was usually a big reason for me to upgrade my Amiga.
Also, it kicks Astral Blur in the behind.

the 3d engine was a bit buggy with all the holes between polygons, but it had lots of cool 2d effects to balance... but then it surely tips to rulez because of the music and gfx work (angelic particles OMG!!!)
rulezadded on the 2005-10-22 10:54:14 by winden winden
You take a demo with really delicious effects and soothing music, and another one with noisy music and a crappy 3d engine, and then you shuffle these together and get... Captured Dreams. Amazing and annoying at the same time.

Fuckin' A! I remember watching this demo at TG 97, it was great moment in life! Altough I wish Louie could have done something different from that angel-picture. It is the only reason why I did not show this demo while teaching in a art-school last year.

Some of the effects area really ace, and some of the graphics are fantastic, but as a whole, I think this is butt-ugly.

I don't think they were. I accused him of scanning a long time ago and he corrected me in an old Rom article and wrote a step by step guide. He was just an exceptionally talented gfxer.

As for the demo, it still has an impact every time I watch it. So far ahead of its time!
rulezadded on the 2008-02-07 14:45:30 by Wade Wade
Uh, I saw this a lot of time back in the days.
The zoomer is so great even if the zoom is not exponential but linear. Very talented graphician.
I also like the ambient parts of the music. Even though the music is very obviously made to fit the demo - not the other way around - it has turned out really well.
rulezadded on the 2008-04-26 19:56:49 by lemmus lemmus
Forgot: Though, it is very glitchy and buggy. I know that you can be in a hurry and aim for a deadline but in this case it really had an impact on the result.

Ugly at times, great code. Very nice underwater part, esp. when "watching up".
Music ranges from horrible to "this could've been nice if.."
