The bonus effect on the disk ist actually much better than the "game". =)

Awesome parallaxscroll!
Gfx, music, code... great all-rounder job Mad, nice to have you back on C64. ;)
And that one-pixel bumpcycler rocks.

Actually I like both, the bonus effect and the game. The game is cute and hey, making a childhood dream come true is always nice! :) Nice work Mad, didn't expect to see something on C64 by you that soon. Hope you'll do some more on the breadbox. :)

Nice Game with LSD graphics!

From the screenshot it looked as if the graphics were ripped from Mayhem in Monsterland, but in reality it seems they're only "inspired". Very "inspired". :)

Its actually much easier to write this bump one, than the "game".. I only remember two games which are using such an advanced parallaxscroller.. That is Turrican2 and Flimbos Quest.. Where Turrican 2 only scrolls in one direction.. The others are using these rol/ror thingy or have per character line only one color.. Infact i scroll(parallax) the color ram to. But if you arent c64 coder this really doesnt matter. And if u read flimbosquest discussions they told that they also have no gameplay. But anyway nice to read these comments since i dont get some on csdb.. And dalezy shame on you..

BTW: at csdb they stated that ive ripped the gfx from mayhem.. Its right that i use the colors of it even the ideas but i pixeled almost all by myself.. But please only of taking two colors and some ideas dont call it a rip.. Im no grafixian and it was the easiest and fastest move to look at other games like gianna, flimbo and mayhem and paint the same style.. Mayhem has much more advanced grafix so its no match to this one.

Fuck when do i get my csdb id.

Technically and graphically it's superb, but what bugs (haha) me is that many games on C64 features incredibly bad movement (including this one). How hard is it to implement an 8.8 fixpoint movement with some simple gravitty? It's like 20 lines of assembly or something to do a physically "correct" jump-motion.
Although I recognize that a constant pull of gravity will make life hard for the collision detection if not implemented carefully (fall through the floor suddenly etc.). But simple heuristics solved this problem also, so in the end there are simply no excuse for this triangular wave jump motion. Grrrr. ;)
