ok, the music isn't exactly my taste, nor are some of the 3d scenes something i like to see in demos. but especially that very first scene with the computer and the overall 'speed' of this prod were quite impressive. and it's finally a demo that's not too short :)
added on the 2001-07-24 by robotriot
hm, the group behind this prod must be apocalypse inc :)
added on the 2001-07-24 by robotriot
No, it definitely isn't Apocalypse inc... ok, the fast paced mushroomned too-many-colors goa-style and the msuic really sound that way, but if you look into the readme, you'll not only find other people than the AInc members in the credits, but if you look closely below the bic ascii logo, you might be able to decypher the following name:

AUM NAMAH SHIVAYA

Whatever it means. And whyever those goheads are so obsessed with numbers. Anyway, the soundtrack definitely rocks. Too bad that the demo seems to have problems with Detonators 12.xx / DirectX8 / DX debug runtime / whatever.
added on the 2001-07-24 by kb_
nope, in fact there's no group. AND is a coder who recently joined Fairlight (at least that's what I heard) and the gfx and music dudes are his friends.. the (almost) same team is responsible for Chaos Constructions 00 winning demo '7d0 millennium'.
added on the 2001-07-24 by bhead
I have video problems as well. Oh well.

I love the cute typos in the info: never heard of 'byte rappers' and 'reply' before =)
added on the 2001-07-24 by Shifter
they're not obsessed with numbers, btw. '604' is a l33t-sp34k version of 'GOA'.. simple, innit?.. 8))
added on the 2001-07-24 by bhead
strange, because ainc released a demo called 604, too :)
added on the 2001-07-24 by robotriot
I really enjoy watching this one. fast and colourful
added on the 2001-07-25 by raimo
904 would have been more appropiate.
added on the 2001-07-28 by Shifter
apparently the "604" evolved a bit different:

http://www.edu-negev.gov.il/oded/psyart/info.htm

;)
added on the 2001-07-31 by toxic avenger
For those who like their demos loud, fast, and excessively colorful, get this demo now. It's definitely on top of the "eye candy" genre. If you can't stand goa, avoid it :).

BTW I have 12.41/DX8 and it runs fine here.
added on the 2001-07-31 by phoenix
14.10 DX8, fine here too
added on the 2001-08-01 by bhead
rock!
added on the 2001-08-01 by Hatikvah
great demo, much colors, good goatrance, although noting new.

btw: Aum Namah Shivaya is a holy mantra, it's sanscrit and means "adoration to Shiva". For some reason it's often used in connection with Goa and goatrance.
added on the 2001-08-02 by fractalgp
14.10 here too, dx8.1 built 648. and it works well...

i don't really like this kind of demos, but this one rocks, so must look out a goademo in 2001, the effects and syncing remembers me a bit Chrome/Damage, but that's an another story... but all in all, Congrats! Where in the fuck is the winner demo btw.? :)
added on the 2001-08-02 by d-lee
This demo absolutely rocks. Long and powerful!!!
added on the 2001-08-02 by mac
Cool demo, sometimes there is just TOO much colorful effects, the screen almost turns white from all the additive blending.. :)

The only thing that's not so good is that the music (which is very good btw.) gets VERY much amplified by the player and sounds like crap. Plays fine in winamp though.
added on the 2001-08-03 by Sdw
I don't believe people here haven't noticed that, some textures are from TBL's invit for ASM'98, and also PTCT, some effect are even a copy/homage of some ptct's.
However, it has great punch, great sync and also good effects, don't miss it.
added on the 2001-10-05 by Sanx
Uhm... WOW... this demo ROCKS! This is pure energy. I love it!
added on the 2001-10-19 by wildrage
What a trip x') very cool gfx/effects, to heavy music imho but overall very pretty!
added on the 2001-10-20 by jull
This is VERY cool demo. I really love the psychedelic feeling and the goa-soundtrack is just amazing. They seem to greet byte-rappers and reply :)

Anyway one of the best demos this year.

music remind me some "boost" (doomsday), and I really dislike this style :)
anyway, too many colors and too much overlayed graphics, BUT a lot of good things and a massive/respectable amount of work.
added on the 2001-11-05 by elric
héhé Nithril ;) Finally you watched the demo. Glad you liked it.
Oh yeah, it rocks baby, don't miss some traxx of SynSUN, really nice Goa Trance.
added on the 2001-11-07 by Sanx
GOA sound so good!!
we can hope, that more and more demo with powerfull goa
would be released like 604.

the major traxx a SynSUN have been downloaded :).
added on the 2001-11-13 by Nithril
DEFINITELLY ROCKSSS - Awesome ultra fast colourfull scenes (like in demos from Ainc, Aardbei) , super syncros, fantastic fast GOA soundtrack from SynSUN - bravo "AND" your scene move from ZX to PC - Open GL is superb. This is i.m.h.o one of the best demos. Cool to watch it on dark room wit speakers to maxximum. ROCKSSSS !!!!!!!
added on the 2001-11-15 by Trauma Zero
even when i'm not that big a fan of goa/psytrance (not really sure about the genre-differences by the way :), i can't help myself.. i love this demo. it's so fast and wonderfull. a bit crowded sometimes, but all in all - a great prod.
added on the 2001-12-11 by gloom
Hihihihi.. This demo made me really laugh. Seems like TBL PC section didn't quit the scene after all. :)

Well, not bad at all if you're into goa and ***** color scheme. Which I - thank god - am not.
added on the 2001-12-20 by melw
Ooo... I like this. Fast and colourful. Love it, love it, love it!!
added on the 2001-12-21 by thom
This is how a Goa-themed demo should be done. Totally manic psychedelia.

The XXL version of http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=4670 (7d0 millennium). Same coder/desginer, same fast paced stash-like action, even almost the same scenes (the mainboard). Still, great demo. Thumbs up.
added on the 2002-03-19 by tomaes
This demo rules, and so does goa trance. About kb's comment, AUM NAMAH SHIVAYA, although I don't know what it means, it's said on Astral Projection's "Mahadeva" tune from where i guess they took both the idea and many samples/parts for this tune, as they sound pretty similar. Great scenes and synching, and a "not-boringly long" demo for a change.
Definitely one of my favourite demos.
added on the 2002-05-05 by Jcl
Damn fast code + acid colourful gfx + goa..
Ermm, not really my taste but I like this thingie ;)
added on the 2002-05-05 by Sceez
2 days ago i happened to try this with ATi Rage 128 (at school) and i was very amazed how fast this actually is. the only problem was that alpha maps didn't work but everything else ran perfectly. nice work
added on the 2002-05-05 by raimo
Huge amount of work and awesome results to show for it.
added on the 2002-05-05 by Jare
TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME!!!
I mean, damn, everythinkg is so perfect, no dead moments, no useless slowdowns, no unused parts on the screen, no overpolygonized models, instead music that will "blow yar sox off", great engine (manages to produce a silky smooth motion on a TNT2), useful design, and overall very very very cool demo.
R0MB!!!

added on the 2002-07-28 by cherox

i hate goa and people who likes it.
psychedelic?? how can something so hecktic, fast, excessive and eclectic be psychedelic...

just kiddin but there is some truth in as well - indeed i cant stand goa - therefore this subjective judgement.. ->

added on the 2002-07-29 by raver
This one rocks, no boring moments.
added on the 2002-07-29 by Wain
what's so unusual about a hectic and excessive psychedelic experience? ;)
added on the 2002-07-30 by cherox

cherox, agree - thats very well possible, especially combining sum druqs ;D

however as music goa doesnt give me any psychedelic feelings still..

added on the 2002-08-06 by raver
my god it's fast, it's very speed and fast!
1024x768 all in 32bits is absolutly smooth and fast on my P4@1.8+GeF4200 :)
i like colors, but here i made an overdose :))
music is not my taste, but it's the style for the visuals
2d scanned photos sucks, and TTF font used sucks too
water island scene didnt fit the psychedelic design of the rest of this prod
an ok prod for me, because bad 2D and less of incoherency

I like the nervous musik
added on the 2002-10-02 by Pyxis
I've accidentally appeared here. Should I say some words? First of all, it was my idea to create this demo. And my greatest respects to AND - nothing could be done without him. He's an excellent coder. First of all, we wanted to use some other music by my friend Kir, but after several months of listening it, AND couldn't hear it anymore and he said that he'll find a new one. So he somehow found guys from SinSUN, the music was changed. Really, only after the release I've found out about some other 604 demo by Ainc. Sorry about Reply - my mistake, about Byte Rappers - some bad joke ;) There are really some bugs in this demo, even in so-called 'final version', which RCL took to Hungary to show on CORE'01. But you should ask AND, I'm not a coder. The photos used in demo are photos of some famous Goa DJs from Moscow. Well, I hope that the psychedelic atmoshere was transmitted to you good enough. And thanks for your responses.

very easy to see their inspiration from the PTCT demo by aardbei... maybe a bit incoherence, but in general very good demo.. more of those please :D
added on the 2003-01-23 by Yasw
I had first discovered this demo from DemoDVD and downloading it right now. It definitelly rules and AND who coded Squish is the main coder of this too!
added on the 2003-02-18 by Optimus Knight
I generally dislike goa-/psytrance, and the music in this one didn't sound too good to me either. But the demo in all was very entertaining, and fast enough not to fall into the boring 3d flyby -category. In one word: nice!
added on the 2003-02-18 by break
