A really impressive demo, code-wise and design-wise. It contains also many tunes (like 5-6 if I remember well... or maybe it’s just different parts of a same tune), perfect synchro, and is designed for a standard falcon ! The most impressive stuff of the few Falcon demos I’ve seen so far...

I haven't seen Falcon prods for a while now, and I never believed this to be possible on a clean ol' original F030. Sonolumineszenz was great. This one is GOD. Sorry, Tat, No has beaten you up ;-)

so... and now someone still has to say he needs a tuned falcon to do such outstanding stuff... grin ;)

Great prod!

yeah!!! I've seen this demo at the Unconventional'2k2 Atari party event. Well, but I did not remember this demo until I found the great oldskool-stylish tune from the first part!!! And so I wondered about myself: heyy!! I know those guys and yeah they make great Falcon related stuff!!

"what da fuck?!?": my first thought when running this. especially after the flat-cube turned into and envmapped complex object and the music started pumping, i was perplexed.
a true miracle: very good use of 3d (dsp), brilliant syncing, pumping music, and produced in sucha short time!! also the unique style of escape is instantly recognisable.

Great demo, especially due to the great synchronisation. :)

I could write some blasphemous words about the demo looking like a mid-90s pc object show with some better shading, but I spare you that. ;) (in other words: It might be stunning considering the platform, but some more variation in the effect department and some gfx would have been great...)

I cannot comment on the hardware and what is possible, but the sound and the mood it build up is just great.

I was truely impressed when they showed this one on the big screen at "error in line". Massive shit! Still one of the best falcon demos around!

Really nice sync of effects and many interesting tunes! i like it very much!!

Note to 4MB owners like me: put it on floppy and boot the Falcon with ALTERNATE pressed - any harddisk driver takes too much RAM.

This was the long-awaited big next step from Sonoluminescenz. It was the perfect party winner, and it had been kept a surprise from us as well. Cooler than liquid nitrogen!
rulezadded on the 2006-01-14 14:22:59 by CiH CiH
simon: you dont need to copy the demo to floppy at all. It's working fine from HD here... but pressing ALTERNATE while booting is recommended.

This demo came as a sudden surprise at the EIL'99 and what a
surprise it was. Technically brilliant, accompanied by an excellent
soundtrack and though slightly simple, very consequent in
design and therefore very stylish.

It's such a pure Falcon demo - It leaves out everything the
Falcon is bad at and only does things the Falcon is good at.

Quite impressive and nicely designed.

I just watched it (again :) ) and it is simple - b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. :)

Gets a bit boring after a while. I don't like these simple 3D object show-offs. Anyway respect for the code.

One of my fav Falcon demo !

the 3d parts are too long to make this appeal to a wider audience, but technically it's clearly of the finest quality available on standard falcon
rulezadded on the 2008-08-07 16:49:48 by havoc havoc
Para: too bad that it was 2001 not 99 :)

I would say this is an incredibly fucking great demo for unexpanded Falcon 030.

I find it boring, but thumbs for the high level of quality code and audio-wise. Too many spiky thingies for my taste...
rulezadded on the 2011-06-11 13:37:24 by Dbug Dbug
Perhaps a bit to long, but deserve a thumb without doubt
rulezadded on the 2011-08-31 20:42:08 by Frequent Frequent
Yikes, no vote from me on this?

Gets a thumbs up for me, but I wish it'd be a bit more consistent design wise. The biggest let down for me is that the music in the first part is a very aggressive piece, while the rest of them kind of mellow down and totally kill the flow for me :/.

Still rules though :)
