the sokoban is brilliant, but the 'match-it' just rules ....

'match-it' was so good we had to steal the idea ;-)

why didn't i see this one earlier?? great classic stuff. some things they do with the rasters (spiralling/lensing) really amazes me!
ofcourse that's not the only good thing about this one.

Good demo

I think this demo is actually more known for its games rather than demo-screens. Some really nice things to be found.

Good Match-it game, but once you've seen a dozen of these ST megademos, you get the feeling that you've seen them all, not to mention the feeling that you've heard too much Mad Max.

Now, I wanted to see this (because of the rotozomer history), but I seem to not be able to run in emulators. In SainT it just make drive sound loading twice and then it stays there. In Steem it loads me the reset screen and not the demo itself ;P. What am I doing wrong? Or does it need a specific Rom version to run that I don't use/have?
added on the 2005-03-18 13:37:17 by Optimus Optimus
It's because it had a protection. Download this patched version
It should run fine with both Steem and SainT emulators.

Wow thanx! It shall run now I guess..

There are some really nice screens!

Optimus: What you're doing wrong is using an emulator. Please die.
I have an AtariSt with monochrome monitor, also there is no more space in my room for anything else than a PC, there is nothing better than being compact with all those emulators :). But surelly, I want to see demos on the real thing, now if I find time and the appropriate hardware, cable, whatever one day..

Other than that, this rules, the rotozoomer is cool (slower and ugglier than Chaos rotozoomer on the Amiga, but definitelly the first!) and there are some other parts which rule too. Great usual Mad Max music there!

The Syntax Terror, featuring the rotozoom by The GigaByte Crew, was released 2 years before the World Of Commodore, featuring Chaos's rotozoom.

Check also the Maggie 10 intro by Delta Force to see another rotozoom on ST, released this time 4 months before the WOC.

Great coding, but the design... argh!

Some good screens for what can be called an Union demo 2 though it is not official and not as impressive overall. Nice stuff anyway, the games just rock.
