an experimental musicdisk and game.. ode to glitch art basically.. featuring a far too long development cycle..

Its brilliant, nicely done. Perhaps you would want to add a warning for people with epilepsy tho.

manwe the server is very fast, gave me 1750kb/sec

@manwe: 98% of these 111MB are mp3z, k?

Easily the most interesting Tetris clone I've played for five years. The distortion of the background music during pause is a nice touch. It's a keeper!

@toxie:
98% of my 100Mb intro are BMPs, ok?
98% of my 500Mb demo is AVI, ok?
...it looks like we need "audio CD" category on pouet.net, because some people forgot what musicdisk actually means. It was something like that, you know.

Oh, I just finished listening. All the songs here could be tracked in a couple of megabytes (using V2 synth and a few samples - look what people can do in 32 kb music nomination).

this one is great, excellent game. my favorite game of the moment already! I used to be Tetris-addict so that might be the reason. A superb game and that for free!! Well done.

Just one more thing: Try to not forget the use of the special key (default 's') and the drill key (default 'a') for/during the special modes.

about time you finished the damn tetroi project :)
looking cool

manwe the moron: this game's soundtrack wasnt made by sizelimit wanker musicians, why would you expect the result to be sizelimit p0rn?
added on the 2008-03-26 01:40:08 by psenough psenough
The latency of the controls is quite annoying but nice stuff otherwise
rulez added on the 2008-03-26 01:48:24 by keops keops
ps, don't be funny: such noisy music can be fitted into a few kilobytes, so "compose" it using "pro-sequencers" and release it in MP3 format is as simply as lame. Better add "stream audio" category on pouet.net to divide brilliant classics musicdisks from modern lame "music". Lame.
added on the 2008-03-26 14:59:21 by Manwe Manwe
hey, you have a funny hat, manwe.
added on the 2008-03-26 23:51:33 by _-_-__ _-_-__
I agree with Manwe: can't see a point why to call it demoscene release. A game is interesting though. Music is just a waste of space.
added on the 2008-03-27 00:01:31 by dimouse dimouse
and this is why experimental musicians stay clear of doing demoscene musicdisks.
its fine and cool if you prefer to do your music focusing on size limitations but most musicians _have a life_ and prefer not spending it resampling things to use on shitty trackers or coding their own softsynths. ever heard of vsts and final mixing? how about granular synthesis or field recordings?
you like limiting yourself musically and masturbating about how awesome you are, fine, enjoy your orgasms! but please dont expect people with a mindset oriented to the creative process instead of the geek of the year award to give a flying fuck on those limits.
who the hell are you to judge if a prod is demoscene related or not from the size of the music anyways? where im from a prod is demoscene related if it's made by sceners and released at a demoparty. maybe in communist russia scene releases demoparty you.

ps: no need to argue about such things.. it won't help a thing.. some guys are stuck in 1990.. but thanx!

May be it will helps: the field recording is my profession, a game music composing and mixing as well. What you, PS, say, if I'll release all the stuff I composed (using "VSTs", so loved by you) and a lot of my tunes played live, on pouet.net as a "scene release"? Guess, why I have no such plans?... Because, in additional to "normal" music composing and recording, I can do some more (i.e. "size optimizing", "softsynth coding", "tracker hacking", etc.). I left my ProTools projects for the radio and give something more specific to the scene. IMHO, people who release they "pro" crap on the scene (instead of pro area) looks silly. As silly as crying about "creative limitations" pressing.
Anyway, everybody has a freedom to release a crap, I (and not only) just asking about the separate category for streamed music. Isn't it clear?
added on the 2008-03-27 23:30:15 by Manwe Manwe
scene is not for sizelimit optimized music only. by that logic we should only accept sizelimited intros as real demoscene productions aswell and all demos and videos would be left for benchmark apps and digital animation festivals. with your comments you're just being a wanker in search of extra attention for having done the sizelimit optimizations in your musicdisks in the past. you're ocstracizing other creative people from the scene, you'll get no respect from me for doing so, i want to see more experimental prods by "pro" musicians getting released in the scene.

Simply turn your radio set on and search for corresponding wave.

eeeeh

Liked it. Idea of tetris on acid isn't new, but this one is really fun. Music is maybe too monoton, but overall it makes great atmosphere. Gotta print the cover...

This is a lot of fun to play. I like the twists with the addition of a Breakout style game to Tetris. I wish there were options to turn off the acid effects at times, but I can tell a lot of work went into this, and I really respect that. Cool game.

I've had a lot of fun playing this. So the music isn't something I'd listen to on its own for the most part, but it certainly makes the atmosphere of the game much more interesting. I've found minor bugs here and there, but it's still lots of fun to play! Again, respect for the work that went into this!

The soundtrack is awesome (I've burn it on audio cd).
The visual is interresting.
The gameplay is psychedelic.
Runs very slowly on my machine (sometimes unplayable)...
Guess i can thumb up this prod anyway.

cool
Easily the 2nd best scene produced tetris (dropout being #1); Sometimes the piece distribution feels a bit odd and the soundtrack should've just been the ambling tune (then again, it always makes me laugh when it comes up, like a glittering drunken shark out of a dark and somber ocean); good stuff!
