First demo that I've been involved in. :)

90% of the demo coding was done at the party place.

Final will be released sometime soon. Hopefully.

I'm not sure if this ran correctly, considering that
1. the framerate was weirdly alternating between up-down-up-down... every half a second or so, so it kinda "pulsated"
and
2. the credits were crammed into the bottom right.

otherwise it's kinda nice, it reminds me a bit to old sunflower stuff.

Bored when watching it

Nice mellow feel...I would have liked to see more, but understand this was coded at the party. Thumbs up for the NA demoscene! :D

Nice & pure. More content next time please :).

nothing interesting here. piglet

Good for a fastmade demo.
added on the 2008-04-07 by scg_
Relaxing, though it looks a little bit "sparse". I really liked the music. All in all a decent effort!

The framerate was fine and consistent over here, but I experienced a violet, 1 pixel wide border around the screen. AA-fragment??

nice job guys, keep em comming please, greetings to the us scene =)

Simple yet beatiful. It really starts well.

not bad for a fastcode, I totally dont see the flicker gargaj talks about.

Not bad for a partyhack..

I just wished BRS stopped pimping other groups prods with gfx/music (though this is actually a good thing in a way) in favour of creating there own unique style , all BRS need is a kickass active coder to join up (easier said than done I know..)

Anyway, chilling prod. curious which prod. came first..

Partly nice, but a bit messed up in design ...
But if its a party hack ! Respect !

abit too minimalistic but shows potential

A nice demo. Could use more or "something" but very smooth and aesthetic show.

magic: I'm a BRS coder, along with Imbusy, duffman and some inactive ones (wake up, guys!) :)

cool nice work!

Preacher: i see you as a traction coder who does coops with brs :)

Really nice one!

Reeeeeally liked the smooth synch with the yellow spike-tunnel notes. Stop holding back with your ribbons! Draw a kerbillion of 'em, they're great!

Cool. But what's that orange scene doing there?
added on the 2008-04-08 by xernobyl
preacher: note that magic said "kickass" and "active" in the same sentence. rarely any coder is qualified enough for the latter one :D

Magic: so, make your mind up, is it good or bad that we "pimp" other prods? Secondly, we don't pimp anything, as you call it. But we collaborate with people who want to work with us, yes. In this case, s_tec is a good friend of ours and there will be bigger things to come for sure. And we loved to contribute to this little demo. Also, contrary to popular belief, we joined the development of this demo from the very beginning.

And last but not least, we thought it was worth supporting the US demoscene, simple as that.

And I do think that Brainstorm very much has its own style.

This wasn't really my cup of tea, but showed some designwise promise. So a piggy now, and let's hope you continue evolving to create something even better next time :)

overall it reminded my of a QVC Shopping Channel interlude sequence. Pretty bland and uninspired.

Lovely intro and title screen, but goes downhill from there - seems like the effects are sparse and dont hold my interest for the time they're on screen.

Nearly a thumb, but not quite :/

excellent fastmade production

I really like the atmosphere, and it all looks very polished. Could've been longer though, in the end it actually didn't show much.
added on the 2008-04-10 by stijn
not much so called 'real' content here, but at least it is well wrapped up.
added on the 2008-04-10 by comankh
After the first few bits I thought "Not very hi-tech, but at least it's nice&polished", and then there was the orange scene and I thought "oh well, they ran out of time".. So piggy it is.
added on the 2008-04-10 by samwise
Beautiful artwork and relaxing atmosphere. Great butterfly, Ivy and great opening pic, Mantraz. The soundtrack started really nice, too.
added on the 2008-04-11 by chromag
That's rather cute artwork, Little boring but what the heck you can't have everything eh?
added on the 2008-04-11 by Mike3D
Axel: its good for the other groups however
it doesnt benefit BRS's own identity. You say you want to be the best but BRS releases differ to much in quality to be the best.. There is no evolution in quality to be seen. Probably since The Silents on amiga no scene group of today has so much "division's" and "coop's" going on though BRS tries to present's itself as one group. But this is my own critical point of view. :) My non-critical oppinion is that I hope to see many BRS releases for years to come, as every release should be treasured!
Cheers!

I like it. The star burst is really neat.
added on the 2008-04-14 by Matt
Magic: that's a lot of bullshit you're saying there in a single post. We don't have any divisions. We are a group of people and whoever has time to contribute to a production, does so. And yes, there are better and worse demos. It happens to all groups, you know. Furthermore, we do know we aren't among the best groups yet. And just for the record: We're not TRYING to present anything. We're just the way we are, and it's just ridiculous when you judge us by not having any clue about how we do our stuff. And we will continue to make coops because we think it's actually fun, you know. And I'm pretty certain that we've got an identity.
