Inopia, I was going to say the exact same thing. Double-buffering Excel rocks!

Oh lighten up, you sour prune. People made amiga demos before you did. Booh! Fuck your demos!

Where I feel you on the msx and propeller part (and hey, lft won!) I don't feel you on the nds and psp part. The nds demos were tepid at best and the psp demo was a serious let down.

But this owned and it is awesome it came second!

okkie, oh yes, no issue :) and yes the word "even" is missing after "propeller" I agree. By the way each year I feel the same, the BP wild compo is too difficult to judge, releases are not comparable. Oldskoolish people like me love lowtech stuff, while some other love funny/wild/strange stuff...
I love the scene for doing crazy things like demos (ab)using excel cells as pixels!

our reaction with Maali:
M: "gosh... not a crappy presentation again..."
D: "yeah, this is gonna suck"
*after a while*
D: "this is actually good."
M: "yeah, it is."
...
D: "wow, this is seriously amazing"

@Shazz: you are right about the BP wild compo, it is too difficult to judge. I would love to see a separate console compo with oldskool entries :)

I loved the doublebuffering :) But perhaps some excel specific effects next time? (dunno what those would be, but hey, this is the demoscene...)

What's so cool about this is someone made something in Excel that doesn't suck the life out of it's audience.

Also, it's fun. But I forget who did it first, and used the same name, they were telling me this during the compo, darn it (:
Great stuff, love the doublebuffering.
