Nice design too! Chef d'oeuvre!

Great and kinda pretty original effect but gets kinda boring at some point. Nice music too.
rulezadded on the 2009-04-21 18:40:22 by noby noby

p.s. I think this prod. is only released under ND. As BRS writes this on there website to:

Total Blockparty ownage!
Blockparty 2009 was a total success. Virt won both the main music competition with his track Lorem Ipsum (to be added here shortly), and the oldschool music competition. And as if that wasn't enough, he also wrote the soundtrack for the winning demo by Northern Dragons. All in all: three 1st places and total Blockparty ownage. Congratulations, sir Virt!

Dear magic, please also watch the demo. ND+BRS, what could that mean?

sorry what is printed on the brs website confused me..

Nice idea.

whooo...very nice original approach.
Excellent colour scheme.
Contrary to the gros of the artsy BP PC demo releases this actually could air on Arte.
Scenery changes before it gets annoying and that's the twist.

some more variety would have been nice, but what's there is good.

I liked it but then the music became extra crappy and I didn't like it anymore. So piggy from me.

Nice for a transition effect, but not worth a whole demo.

strange but i like it. :) i don't feel like it resolved itself though.. im left wanting more finality :)

Could've used one or two more effects, but here you go!
rulezadded on the 2009-04-22 09:49:11 by Stebo Stebo
geat concept and nice music, but could have been way better with additional ideas/effect, a "scenario", and so on...

kind of disappointing, but well, it's a party-coding :D
rulezadded on the 2009-04-22 21:25:55 by wullon wullon
Maybe playing more with color variations, not only with bit-crushing/mosaicing.
Very nice.

A solid concept.
rulezadded on the 2009-04-23 04:46:55 by s_tec s_tec
Liked the concept, but hated the music (worst thing virt ever did, I think, most of his other stuff is pretty awesome) and overall execution.
sucksadded on the 2009-04-23 14:07:30 by tomaes tomaes
concept ROCKS .. but some more action would have been nice, still worth a thumb for the concept
rulezadded on the 2009-04-23 22:21:51 by dwarf dwarf
very creative, but when the drums kick in, something, ANYTHING, should happen. scroll it, warp it, put some cubes and ribbons in front, but one mosaic effect just isn't enough for me.
added on the 2009-04-24 00:21:49 by phoenix phoenix
I liked it! Perhaps it's easier for me to appreciate as someone outside of the scene... I find the lack of rotating orbs and twisting ribbons rather nice!
rulezadded on the 2009-04-24 05:53:58 by nonfinite nonfinite
I'm pretty close to thumbing it down - first 20 seconds I really liked the paint synched to the piano. After that I got really bored and the sync to the distortions wasn't really tight enough.
added on the 2009-04-24 09:20:46 by Puryx Puryx
Cool (and ambitious) idea. Maybe it could've been better exploited but still, here's a thumbs up.
Btw: DTV has a video.
rulezadded on the 2009-04-24 20:33:31 by ara ara
Pretty and has an original idea, but since there is only one idea which isn't interesting enough for the whole demo I give it a piggy

Nice effect, but not worth a whole demo...

An amazing piece of crap.
This demo wasnt kind of good, but on the other hand it was very...crappy.

But the music! ...was also sucky...

@ DocD^TRSI : hopefully demo scene is not only amiga routines adapted on openGL with boring 3d scenes all the time ...

I'm glad to see that some guys create original things and i think they have to be stimulated :)

I think that you should create an original demo better than posting such a comment without any based argument ;)
