Obviously not polished, but we had to start producing again some day :)

Nice, but seems very glitchy and fast made.

close to beeing a thumb down. but well ...

I got some problems to run it too, like the synth was getting stuck or something, and even crashed the second time...

The sky is nice, the sea and island less so. Music is cute.

The music stuttered a lot.
added on the 2009-07-26 by datsua
It stutters. Also, two hints:

1) Please, fog/DOF next time? :)
2) Please, next time no floating trees? :)

The sky looks really nice though.

crashes here

Preacher: Fog was on the previous versions. Due to deadline and size constraints, I had to remove it (along other visually appealing stuff). About the trees, theoretically they don't float, but the lack of shadows makes it hard to notice :(

Sorry shash, this is a definate no.

I would have expected you, of all people, to know. Afterall, you deal with whiny kids with that emulator of yours and now you must deal with shit from us.

I would have thought you would have learned your lesson. Yes I am still bitter from that freakshow they call a forum >.>

rulez!!! glad to see new prods from Collapse!
added on the 2009-07-28 by xphere
mudlord: This was a huge test of new "technology", some went well, some went wrong. The important thing here is that we (slack and me) back on getting stuff actually released, which is important (for me, at least). Of course this could have been better, in fact previous iterations of the water were WAY better, but the final optimization hours had a great impact on visual quality.

Next one (yes, there'll next ones) will be better: now we already have the new tech, only have to use it properly.

The music stutters a lot, indeed. The new synth does some horrible things speed-wise in order to win some bytes, and we trusted it would perform mostly fine on the compo machine (which it did). I think it's time to change the music from real-time to precalc, tho

Also, what shash said. We are pretty excited about the new base code, and hope to make cool new productions pretty soon :)

With or without floating palms, I would like to see more new prods of shash & slack pretty soon!

So here is my motivational thumb up.

By the way, partycoding at Euskal seems to be the new incarnation of the Spanish torture.

So nice to see you back :)
I hope you'll give us more prods soon.
