Actually this is not so obvious. I know basic coding for 1K ZX81 pretty well. Its ram cannot even cover entire screen area.
Therefore people make smaller effects, situated on the left upper corner of the screen. Also only one command in a single line is allowed. Further editing of basic lines is most difficult if one is coding on pure ZX81 setup, like in this case (no ram to change lines, or even to display them). Not to mention about annoying feature of ZX81 - adding screen's content to every saved file which takes additional memory.
Considrering this and the fact that it's his the first attempt to coding an extremly limited machine, I would still give thumb up.
And I do it not because he has the same first name. :=) |
