I like WOW prods with the dirty rendering that is smooth. What's wrong with the music btw?

Nothing wrong with a weirdarse speech synth (with background music) at the same time as smooth kickarse effects...

It's about time ALIH won the demo compo at Syntax if you ask me =D

Surely not a bad demo but I don't like it much. The Kefrens bars (that are still Alcatraz bars ;D) part looks nice. Music is absolutely not my cup of tea.

ALIH is my fave non-scener!

Some nice screens, but I'd really like to see a recording from a real machine on this. The speech synth sounded like a wounded dog on helium in the emulator.

thumb up for the vocals! launched in winvice several times just to listen to it :). if someone can make a real machine mp3 recording, do it please.

ps: also would like to read somewhere about "vocoder" technique used here.

That was mindblowing stuff. Amazing voice CODEC man. I can't believe how you did it! Go on... tell ;-) Congrats on 1st place!! The shield will arrive engraved soon...

Amazing talent on display here. Much more engaging than last year's entry, too. Had the tune stuck in my head for days afterward. Well done ALiH- a totally deserved win. =)

Some sick stuff inside as per usual, but a bit too rough for my taste this time around.

For those asking about the synth, the production notes on csdb talk about it a bit.

Video capture plz! Or audio, mainly to get an idea what the music is supposed to sound like.

has that distinct wow style effects that I like, I can't really comment on the speech synth because I suspect it wasn't played correctly on an emulator, but a thumb up anyways

What ALiH's demos lack in polish they more than make up for in creativity and feeling.

this demo sucks, and whoever made it is clearly deranged

Nice effects but horrid music in my humble opinion.

Cool demo. But I can't recognize the speech, sounds only like weird music. Or like a singing or crying cat... (Not emulator, real C64...) But anyway good demo

Yeah, I can't recognize the speed either. But I like alih's demostyle anyway. Plus transparent kefrens \o/
