Realtime Mandelbulb is very nice, but what about the rest? The scenes themselves didn't look very good, the pacing was random, the lighting was bad, and it doesn't even work on Radeon cards...

I would have expected more from a 64k, since there is definitely enough space to not only draw a Mandelbulb somehow, but to also make it look good...

Really loved this during the compo. Rewatching at home it's not that great anymore, but still very enjoyable

pretty awesome mandelbulb but the rest was pretty crappy (i.e. colors, music, etc).
This was a first prod (said so at the bigscreen info before the entry). So thumb up because it's some neat code and a solid performance for a first time.

However.. get a goddamn artist to help out with the design next time :)

Hahah - loved this! Nice touch using mini mandelbrots to make the font :)

Where was the duck?
But seriously, pretty decent.

The duck was him.. or maybe that duck that was sitting on top of his computer dancing? (It was some weird electromechanical yellow birdie dancing to something.. music?)..¨.

Who knows.. maybe it was a rubber ducky xored?

(We sat on the other side of the table at big parts of the party..)

Doesn't work on dual monitors. Else this is one of the best 64Kb I ever seen! Awesome except for the raw e-guitar :D

Crap, I really wanted to see this on my HD4870/DX9 Aug/XP pc. Music playing but black screen in both windowed and fullscreen. Tested with normal game settings, other settings and turning Powerstrip off.

Except for the music there is nothing I like here. No design, really boring and quite ugly.
added on the 2010-04-11 10:36:47 by StingRay StingRay
both music and effects rules.
is it a 100% raytraced intro ? (so only two polygons even text is raytraced)

One effect does not make a demo (tm)

Simple shading and ugly colors. Nice music, though.

"Please note that neither msvcr70.dll, msvcr71.dll nor msvcr80.dll will be available on the compo machine!"

But I guess msvcr90.dll, msvcp90.dll was available? :) Loophole or oversight? No matter. I think it should be installed/allowed anyway. Its merely a minor inconvenience issue for some viewers. Insignificant compared to the NVGL problem of this and many other productions have.

props for the mandelbulb, but needs more variation and some serious design

nice synth and rendering.
Also interesting the "sparse mandelbulb"...
any interactive application to play with? :)

I like this one. Not only for the mandelblob.

I was hoping for some slow close ups so the fractal structure really could be seen. Nice thouhg.
