a nice style-demo, short but good

Arg. Finally I get rid of this piece. :)

woo, beautiful effects :D i don't quite agree on that psychedelic-rgb-colourpalette, but it certainly has style. especially that "explosion" in the "zero"-scene, well accompanied by the music. but again, it's too damn short :/

self voting kinda sucks :(
yes, m'am, I like it!

thanks to this prod, i saw for the first time how a blue screen looked like under windows XP.

self voting sucks.

Madman was not involved in this one. Blame me, not him. ;)

one could atleast read the .nfo before accusing people of self voting...

this ...stuff.. looks nice Tomaes! :) Weird, but cool.

Hmm. This looks really nice and I like TAP's products, but I'm afraid that if I run it I'll lose the 700h+ uptime of my WinXP... Does it crash for anybody else running XP?
added on the 2002-05-02 23:48:35 by DiamonDie DiamonDie
I think, 'experimental' describes this demo best ;)
No problem with running it under Win2k, but I don't know the technical differences between 2k and XP that good ;)

works well with my xp

too weird for my taste.
it did no harm to my xp.

Well... This demo was planned for Mekka & Symposium, but 3 hours before the deadline I gave up hunting all the weird bugs (I managed to crash mados' win2k machine 4 times in 30 minutes, he said, that never happened before... ;)).

Later, I decided to release it anyway, and I tried my best to erase all problems with win2k and Xp. So, it _should_ work on those machines too. If there is still a bug: Well, I don't have much motivation to take a look at the messy code again. Finally, I just wanted to get rid of this crap. :)

Cool lineart!!
I like it.
rulez added on the 2002-05-03 09:17:56 by got got
Ugly colors, average music but it has that 'something' and isn't too long (and it's even watchable on a 200mhz comp).
added on the 2002-05-03 11:27:46 by uncle-x uncle-x
The last effect looked cool, the rest was a tad ugly. But at least it's different, and that counts!

It ran fine under XP here. And people who are concerned with 'uptime' suck.
rulez added on the 2002-05-03 13:44:26 by sagacity sagacity
Well, it didn't crash my XP. A really nice psychedelic trip, reminded me somewhat of Satori. The music should have been a bit more eccentric, though.
rulez added on the 2002-05-03 21:01:08 by DiamonDie DiamonDie
My God, it's full of.... pixels!

Strangely interesting, but quite ugly at the same time. Both things kinda cancel out so no thumb.
added on the 2002-05-03 22:11:12 by Jare Jare
ugly as hell. could have been much nicer with a different music, and perhaps, even with the "palette cycling" (however it was done) but with waaaaaaaaaaay nicer colors.
sucks added on the 2002-05-03 22:31:06 by Jcl Jcl
Nice music and it's small! Using mo3 pays off, I guess :-)

It's not earth shattering, but it's different and cute.

short.. looked kinda like some bad screensaver but somehow it makes me want to watch it again

"one could atleast read the .nfo before accusing people of self voting..." -ftgp

Like rating a Republican vote as being non-obvious when the candidate was Bush.

Worth a downvote for that, depsite the artistic merit involved.

What have I done? I just said YES to a nice production. Yes it is from a friend, but I would give it a thumb up if it were not from him. This demo is better than some very long and boring ones.
Just my two cents.
I think it had crashed on my computer, but when I see the screenshot, oups! It was really that... I don't like these kind of effects, very boring, for eyes and for brain.

r u sure you have one...? :P
rulez added on the 2002-05-06 09:40:43 by boik boik
well it's not that interesting. music was mediocre, and it sort of didn't fit in this demo. it's not bad, but i propably won't feel urge to watch it again. "ok"

good trip

Press F1 in the demo to see what I personally think about all this... :)

dull music. end effect was cool, but the rest sucked. no thumb. is ok.
Clever and original effects. I actually thought the music was great and fit the overall mood of the demo perfectly. On the 'zero' page the music could have been better timed with the visuals, though.

The final screen is absolutely beautiful. Well done guys.

Very good demo, i liked it =)

the font could be a way better. The style of this production is great. simple cinema format and "colorrauschen". it´s to short.

nice and short. The words were a bit distracting though

I thought I was going to deslike it after reading all the comments but no way!
Very nice experimental stuff, and it's definetly not ugly.

just watched it again, still nice
Like having Multi-Colored Sand in my computer, I think it's a beautiful piece of work.

The really weird part is that you got this to run. Because 10 years ago, I certainly didn't code demos with compatibility and future-proofness in mind. ;) Most graphics card drivers won't even initialize modes like 512x384x16bit anymore. Your best bet today would be a VM (with Windows 98 installed or WINE on the *inx-like OS front).

(Fun fact: I worked on a sequel called 'Saturn', but that turned into an actual design demo that never came out after all.)
added on the 2012-08-02 06:25:23 by tomaes tomaes
some tap demos didn't worked because of this 512x384x16 mode but jupiter run without problems.
Unmo3-ed the (only 48kb!) soundtrack.
