some killer 3d, but a total lack of style.. 15mb overkill and geforce only!
added on the 2000-10-12 00:07:09 by bhead bhead
yep, nice 3d engine but don't like the hardcore track and the metal ambiance of this demo...
added on the 2000-10-12 05:22:50 by analogue analogue
i tryed to run it, but it pitifully crashed my p2-400-tnt2 ...
i personnally find lame the demos that require more than my config to run ... do demomakers really need geforce to code stunning demos ????
if you plan to do quake3-ish effects, you can even do it on tnt2 based machine, it's enough !!!!

ok they do demos for their own pleasure, so please don't take in account any of my flames :))

good textures and good metal music (i see the directory of datas ,'] )
but it's dont work on my rage128, arg!
it seems that shad 3 has beaten us to a first place on bizarre 2000, oh well, this one shows that belgians can code cool stuff :)

(hi ir)

A cool prod even though the soundtrack was too "generic" and the design/"plot" sucked.
rulez added on the 2001-09-29 19:37:05 by DiamonDie DiamonDie
nothing personal, coat, but i would have been really shocked if this would have been beated by the solar demo. might i inform you people that this soundtrack is not a band rip like just about all other demo soundtracks within this style (but made by the coder and a friend of his), might i also point you on the superiour sound and graphics quality of all this? these textures and scenes are amongst the best i have seen. let us then forget that it might not have that much energy in it visually, or that it does not run on all systems. do yourself a favour and forget the bad parts of this demo (lack of 'design' or energy, mainly), and pay attention to the good parts, which are amongst the highest quality ever done in those areas.

eggbird, if you look at it that way, then even lator's intros will look nice.

i prefer to be fucking subjective!
Erm, I remember seeing this demo only once (so no vote until I get a GF3 or a nuclear plant to view it :), so what I remember is that the music was killer, the visuals were simply eye-candies... But no more :)
Looking forward to checking it again tho :)

the music doesn't quite fit the graphics... would have been a nice game engine, though :P

hey are u so stupid ?
This demo use gforce cube map effect ... this does not exist on any other card !!!
So buy a g force or go to hell. It s like doing pixel shader on a benshi card .

"it cashed my ATI " : i can't beleive any one can be such an idiot ! ( sorry zone i like you anyway ) : what can you axpect on you ati 128 ?
This demo is 800*600 plus volumetric fog and so ...

be congrats fuel ( hi IR )

but it's soo ugly ;-)
Cool 3Dengine.
This Environment map is beautiful.
It was a good demo although it did not think that music conformed.

yep this was cool.
too bad IR is such an asshole ;) (but okay let's forgive the guy, he comes from belgium)

Got my hands on a TNT2 Pro, which is told to be a "higher nVidia card", spent my entire month of lunchmoney on it :).
Tried to run it 640x480, windowed...
Crashed after the Fuel logo...
Damn...

How much computing powa does this monster need?

BTW, I checked the EXE file, and I haven't found any clue that this baby uses CubeMap...
At least it doesn't complain about the lack of support...
added on the 2001-11-19 09:32:12 by Gargaj Gargaj
It does use Cubemaps for one effect.
added on the 2001-11-19 09:46:19 by ryg ryg
who in his right mind would buy a TNT2-class card these days?? Go for _atleast_ GF2's
ryg: Weird, one of my friends reported that they managed to run it under a simple TNT...

macaw: As I said, a TNT2 was the only card fitting in the budget :) I even had problems with this expension :)

BTW, to all: Someone please make a DivX/MPG version... :)

I highly underrated prod... nice gfx and good music... it gets a bit boring at the end, though
rulez added on the 2001-11-22 05:26:58 by mac mac
How does "higly underrated" and a first place at a demoparty combine? :) If you ask me, then it's overrated.
the visuals are great, the music kicks ass (finally some other people who do a metal soundtrack, nice !) and the ambient is cool, too. some really neat fx you have to look at a second time to get them. only problem: the demo is fucking too big. I think no demo should be bigger than 10megs UNPACKED.

Ugly is not macaw... This is an eye candy period. .

this is a KILLER!

I liked this. It's a scene flyby, but pretty nice. There were some nice transitions (although not many) and stuff. The music isn't exactly overly exciting, but it ain't ripped and it ain't techno, so thank you for that. Code isn't as fast as Kasparov, but it's pretty close.

Cool one, good zik.
Something made me feel that the GF3 worth the money ;)
rulez added on the 2002-03-15 23:23:46 by FooLman FooLman
I've never seen this demo. Accidentially found it on the DemoShow#1 CD. And it really roxx. Thechnically spoken. At least on my AthlonXP+Radeon8500 ;) But i doubt, that there's much self-done (especially the textures).
Anyway: House rocker!

PLAY SOME SLAYER!!!! DUDE! PLAY SOME SLAYER!!!! If you've ever heard these words, you know what this demo is about. Demon heads, skulls, a metal foundry, dark brooding and dirty, and loud crunchy metal. PLAY SOME SLAYER!!!!
i liked this one very much! very nice 3d

Aaaaaah, finally watched it. On FLaG2002. On the bigscreen. WIth huge speakers.
Yeah, baby!
rulez added on the 2002-07-16 16:22:11 by Gargaj Gargaj
very good (and pretty) flyby, but metal-music isn't my cup of tea.
added on the 2002-07-16 16:47:20 by gloom gloom
the demo didnt work, and the tune is metal, thats okay, still very monotone.
The music track is quite ok. Nothing special, but okay. Got the rigt attitude, but it would have needed a second guitar. (it didn't kick)
added on the 2002-07-17 02:22:54 by asasel asasel
Doesn't work on my shiny new Parhelia :-)

Good track and scenes, although the 2D sucks

this prod fucking rocks.
saw it on 0a000h 2003, can't get it to run on any of my 3 pcs... damn. any1 got a clue what it really needs?
also, fuel was my favorite ansi group :)
rulez added on the 2003-01-26 23:37:13 by badpeon badpeon
Technically, it's rather cool for a year 2000 demo, but on the other hand, it's just a plain ordinary game-intro-look-alike flyby. Ok, at least they recorded the guitar track on their own, instead of ripping, so... pigface.
added on the 2003-01-27 11:07:49 by tomaes tomaes
bought a gf4mx, works now, rules. best demo soundtrack ever.

I'm the last one to thumb up a flyby, but I need to do that because of the music and because of the graphics. Beautiful and gripping.
rulez added on the 2004-09-13 19:26:06 by Preacher Preacher
i wonder if it's really fuel the ansigroup.
added on the 2004-09-13 21:21:35 by dipswitch dipswitch
very energetic demp! Cool fly-by
rulez added on the 2004-09-13 21:44:29 by zeebr zeebr
Where is video?
3d models looks really good because of used textures +++ but i bet the scenes uses very low polygon count --- I love the skull room specially that looks great ! Nice and smooth fly-by parts but do design cut or something between scenes, alas! The music (i call it NOISE ! :) is suxx like hell and kill the atmosphere of the whole demo and must turn off audio speakers... :(
rulez added on the 2004-09-16 10:46:54 by AbcuG! AbcuG!
A so called "boring fly-by" combined with hard rock, doesn't really fit together but is something original.

none-ripped metal music! WOW!

this is fucking brilliant

The first and maybe the last metal demo that I liked :) Anyway, nice texturing, good engine and hard music are the strongest points.
rulez added on the 2007-10-23 20:30:29 by Alain Alain
Wow, this is GREAT, especially considering the volumetric effects all over. Thanks to Gargaj for pointing this demo out.
