Some parts are really ugly, and some are quite nice and fast (even on DOSBox!)

I hope you'll spend some time in the next one for quality vs. quantity.

Runs great at low speeds in DOSBox. Forcer's gfx help a lot. The globe effect is cool. A thumb up of encouragement to continue.

Is the pixel art available somewhere? I'd like to save it.

this really inspires me to continue to write stuff for DOS and maybe exceed the tiny intro size limits =)

I love well done oldschool effects. And this working on a 486 too is a plus! I only tried it on my DOS retro-pc which is a P2 and it obviously runs great.
I especially liked the labeled galaxy, reminds me of state of mind. And the transitions in most parts are excellent.

not too fond of the design but you get a thumb for platform and effort anyway :)

Really weird combination of cool and totally disgustingly ugly. Seriously, xor textures?

Good job! The dancing alien head was amusing.

Oldschool design on oldschool(?) platform. Plus: I may be wrong, but Optimus is improving?
Thanks for the greet.

DOSbox is overrated. Run flawlessly in PCem v10 with following config:

Machine: AMI 486 clone
Video: S3 Virge DX
CPU Intel iDX4/100
Video speed: Mid VLB/PCI
Sound Card: Sound Blaster 16
RAM 32MB
Gravis Ultra Sound Enabled

Go to Tool/video and select "realizable window" and run the demo in a full window, not in fullscreen, to avoid the 70Hz refresh music sync problem.

I wish this demo was a bit longer and didn't finish so abruptly, but I liked it! The art style was cool.

Oh yep, the bad sync if not 70hz. Gotta fix that.

The name was supposed to be referring to Goldilocks Zone. But I said let's called it single word Goldilocks, never realizing at the time it's a children story book. So it's weird but I never realized it then. I would think it's an alien race called Goldilocks.

DOS is love, but this demo lacks a bit of sauce. You get the pig.
giving this pig for giving greets to TheBITSClub.

I just updated the zip in the download link with few fixes:
1) There was a memory leak that would crash or freeze after exit in some PCs.
2) It wasn't running on my 386DX. Now it does. Something with the midas.lib (maybe I used one compiled for 486?). I recompiled with a previous version and now it runs like a charm.

It's not as bad as I thought on 386DX with good gfx card like fast tseng labs, some parts are smooth enough, others are slow and might have some artifacts and dirty pixels, but anyway this demo was coded with 486 in mind but glad to see it kinda runs on 386dx.
