I'd probably kill to get a crew as the one that made this production. One of my all time favourites. The code is good. Spine chilling music. Graphics to kill for. And the end is brilliant, I love this demo.

wach it, great code (statix rulez), weird but tottaly fitting music, and some very nice gfx.
one of my favorite demos ...

a great demo, but far from both pulse's and statix' best in my opinion... but killer graphics by haplo and a great track by shad makes this worthy a download indeed..

maybe the single best pc demo ever? certainly the final masterpiece of the vga era...

square also represents the height of "classic" demo design in the way it blends very different effects, graphics and music as discrete elements (unlike many new demos which rely on more narrow design principles)

one of the best demos,
made by some of the most talented people at this time.
also their last one, they stopped doing demos after this.
at the same time a technically conservative demo (using vga) and a great step on the

conceptual side: it had a really cute design ages before that flat+wireframe numedia

it doesn't need a lot of words to describe how nice it is, just enumerate the people who

made it :
code of statix, particles of dune, music of shad, graphics of haplo..
nothing to say more on that point..

but what makes it one of the greatest demos is the way the effects are going, astonishing transitions, marvellous style, and looping video ending effect.

nice style,
for sure underrated at tp.

I remember seeing this at the top of the charts (doose.dk anyone?) and I never really found it as beautiful as that was letting me expect. I do love some of the effects, the music and haplo's great graphics but never really got that... unreal feeling that the best of the best provoke in me. It's still good but for some reason doesn't quite touch me the way some other demos do.

High quality code and good pace, I'm completely allergic to shaking photos in front of effects, but the music was really good for 1997 and I appreciated the brain model most. Even though it's a simplified model, try modeling one in a modern package. Now go back in time and do it before Maya 1.0 ;)
