An small technical miracle and the compo winner for me...Batman Group has the Midas touch, even an small cracktro can turn to gold under their expert hands.

So many tricks for a single screen. Well done!
Really, really nice. Subtle effects, massive starfield. Strangely enough it only runs booted from floppy on my A3000/060, not from HDD.

the heterogenous starfield in front of the nebula - though I would have
rather expected the SilverSurfer than Batman in this setting ;-)

I've never seen this before. otherwise the display never had an issue with image persistance. the ghost image still shows when running Windows on another input of the monitor. after disconnecting power and waiting for approx. 15 minutes, it goes away and everything seems to be normal again. this happens every time I run this particular demo. wtf?

Here are some notes for those of you who haven't read the text of this little cracktro:
Some of you may be familiar with the design of this cracktro. That's because it's based on an original design published 14 years ago by the youtube channel buromaschinen, under the title 'Shadow of the beast 2 crack intro' https://youtu.be/WRLN-altyM0
There was some controversy in the comments of that video, with some claiming it was a fake for including text about the game from wikipedia, others saying that something like that was impossible to run on a standard A500. Whether it was fake or not, we found the motivation to bring that cracktro to the A500 as part of the amiga programming practices prior to the development of Batman Rises.
Technical curiosities:
Nebula background are sprites in 10 colors and was not in the original design.
Starfield is composed of more than 1300 stars in a wide range of sizes.
Copper plasma-bars use mesh to smooth the horizontal color gradient.
All blits are launched from the copper so that the cpu has enough time for calculations without attending to the blitter.
Sinustext uses 3 bitplanes, the starfield uses another 3 bitplanes, the copper bars use 2 bitplanes because of the mesh, and the sprite galaxy uses an equivalent of between 3 and 4 bitplanes.
Scrolltext is in hires without interlace.

No, I did the sinetext with 2 pixels of horizontal precision but maybe I could have done it pixel-precise. The biggest challenge was combining the use of copper, blitter and CPU to get it all together runing at 50 fps considering the starfield had to be quite populated and including a wide range of sizes.
Using the graphical capabilities of OCS to make it look visually not too inferior to the original was also a bit of a challenge.
I just found that aeb thread yesterday.
