                            ... prologue ...

Well... here it is.. Our first musicdisk! (and also our first
  major release)... Da "HereticaL"..

"HereticaL" is special, because it's the reason why we've founded
  this group -aRtEffECt-...

7 months after the musicdisk idea was first discussed, it's ready
for your listening pleasure. I didn't beleive we would finish this
but we did. So whether you enjoy it or not, it exists in this
  meaningless universe...

                            ... history ...

The decision to code a musicdisk was made on July 97.. Until
December we had nothing in hand except Heretic's mods and some
shitty pre-alpha code I've coded in Pascal... In December we
wanted to finish the disk before XMAS so we begun to work..

Since the lack of mod engine we used in Pascal, we switched to
  DJGPP + mikmod. I've coded a Mode-X one.. Cori drawn a interface
graphics for it... Qube has coded a Amiga port for it.. But the
gfx people didn't satisfy with the quality of the mode-x so we
turned it to 640x480 SVGA... This change delayed us so we didn't
be able to release it on XMAS.. Also we wanted it to be GOOD and
in its situation we think the disk isn't ready... So we kept
  going...

Cori made a new interface gfx for new SVGA mode... And beleive me
it's BETTER than the mode-x one... Qube re-coded the port for
640x512 mode on Amiga... Meanwhile heretic composed two new songs
for the disk so we had a grand total of six songs... I've
implemented a water-like effect but due to performance problems
we have removed it from disk.. And after hundreds of sleepless
hours we have finished it! :)

                   ... frequently asked questions ...

Q: When will you release the musicdisk?
A: I think this has already been answered :)

Q: Why not cool 8-bit ASCII art instead of pure text on this NFO?
A: It seems that we would use this NFO on Amiga platform too... So be
   it..
