             - The Best AMIGA/PC/C-64 party at Christmas time -

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opening words
-------------

This textfile was written by GORE / Future Crew and is intended to be spread
on the PC demo scene in order to get as many PC freaks at THE PARTY 2 as pos-
sible. All the information in this textfile in based on the information I got
from Felix Nielsen, who is one of the main organizers of this party.

The reason we (Future Crew) were contacted by the organizers of this party was
that since we have good contacts throughout the whole PC demo scene, we could
also inform the PC scene about this party by any means we desire as long as we
get the information spread as fast and widely as possible.

The main reason the PC scene should also take part in this big party is that
the place (Denmark) is right in the centre of the PC demo scene and should be
very easy to come by by most of the PC demo groups in Europe (and why not the
USA!) and if this party appears to be a cool party, which depends wholly on
us (!), this party will be alot bigger next year when maybe the PC side of the
party might be as big as the Amiga side.
The organizers are expecting at least 500 PC freaks to come at the party and
if we (FC) are able to convince all the other groups to come there too, there
might be a lot more PC freaks then!
And remember: if you don't have a demo ready for the demo compo, don't even
think of missing this party! After all, parties are for meeting other people
from other groups and to have fun together!
For example, we might not make a demo for the compo at all, but still we'll
come!

Assembly'92 was supposed to be a big PC party too, but "only" about 150 PC
freaks came to the party place! Now we have a second chance and I think we
should take it!
And about parties overall; we (PC freaks) will have to add ourselves to the
Amiga parties until our PC scene has grown big enough for us to start having
our own parties. And this fact might not change in some years.

If you want to know more about this party, you can contact the Amiga organizers
of this party or us.

<<<The following text was copied from the Amiga scene Invitation Form>>>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHY?
----
THE PARTY 1991 was, according to you, the diskmags, newspapers, and computer
magazines, the biggest & best Amiga party ever. And as everybody wanted a
second party, we (The Organizers) would like to invite YOU to:

                            THE PARTY 1992
                         (Part II, The Final)

WHERE AND WHEN?
---------------
THE PARTY 1992 will be held in the same huge conference centre as last year,
but this time we will not use Hall 1 but also Hall 2 and 3. That means 6500
Square meters, almost 3 times as large an area, as last year.
The party place is located in Aars, 35 KM south of Aalborg, Denmark, and will
be held from Sunday the 27th of December at 0800 CET to Tuesday the 29th of
December 1992 at 1500 CET.

FACILITIES:
-----------
- Room for at least 1500 people, including tables and chairs for everybody
- At least one FREE bus will drive nonstop from Aalborg Railroad Station to
the party place, both the first and the last day! So if you are going by
train, then travel to Aalborg. A new highway has been made since last year
so it won't take long to drive.
- Enough electricity for everyone, with a professional electrician 24 hours
a day to avoid any power problems.
- All info about what's going on will be published on a large bulletin board,
infoscreens, the big screen, and the infochannel
- 300x250cm high quality screen for competitions, movies etc. This screen is
the same screen which people liked last year.
- Extremely powerful HI-FI equipment to guarantee perfect soundquality. Last
year people complained that the speakers were playing too low. Yes, the sound
quality was good, but too low. This was because of the sound equipment we
ordered never arrived, so we had to use some home eqipment. We now have a
written contract with a Discoteque, so this time, you better put cheese in
your ears.
- A real cafeteria will be open in the day time and at night there will be a
small Snack Bar selling all the Low Life food you may need. And YES, last time
people complained that the food etc. was too expensive so we have done some-
thing serious about this: The cafeteria got a new management, and that means:
LOWER prices!
- This time we have 3 TV channels and 1 radio channel which will be broadcas-
ted so anyone who brings a TV-set/radio and an antenna will be able to watch:
2 moviechannels, 1 infochannel, and listen to 1 radio channel. Last time there
was receiving problems, but this time a transmitter has been built to ensure
perfect broadcast quality.
- The toilet facilities are good and if you want a shower then that's ofcoz
possible too.
- A Lazerdisc room with a big screen and dolby pro logic surround stereo
sound, showing new lazerdiscs 24 hours a day!!!
- Cleaning personel to ensure that you will be able to walk around in the
halls.
- Modemtrading, so all new stuff will be freely distributed in the reception
- Stand with a local computer store, selling disks etc.
- Luggage room, for those wanting to have their equipment taken care of, with
small fee
- A big and quiet hall for sleeping in your sleeping bags. No charge.

SURPRISE:
---------
- Kyd/Balle (Silents, DK) Techno-concert, live on stage.

COMPETITIONS:
-------------
- These are the prizes:

Demo Compo: Music Compo: Gfx Compo: Intro Compo:
         ----------- ------------ ---------- ------------
         1. $2500 1. $400 1. $400 1. $400
         2. $1500 2. $300 2. $300 2. $250
         3. $750 3. $200 3. $200 3. $100
         4. $500 4. $100 4. $100
         5. $250 5. $50 5. $50

- And... Sum very crazy competitions WILL be held too!

(GORE notes; For the PC demo freaks: There will be also competitions for the
PC and the compos will be shown on the big screen. There will be at least a
Demo Compo for the PC. And there is no law against PC freaks attending the
Amiga Music and GFX Compos. Just remember to compose in .MOD format and draw
your Gfx so that they can be shown through an Amiga (320x256 with 32 colors
 is the most common format)).
