                            Eric Oostendorp

Welcome to the age of the soundblaster my friend ! We are going to make a long
journey into the digital sound period starting with our first 2 demos and YOU
are on board ! Let me guide you on our MACH3 ship...

First you can see the interior of our ship, a menu with a scroll and a logo.
That's all in EGA because now a days customers want more and more colors and
more technical stuff meeting the eye. If you have CGA or Hercules, you have
to learn CAB ( computer aided braille ), close our eyes and use your fingers.
On the menu, which is divided into 2 parts, you can see some symbols in the
first part and their explanations in the second part. The function of this menu
is that when the pilot presses the appropriate key in the first part, the
events of the second part will take place.
We will now have a closer look at the keys of the pilot.

By pressing :

1 , you let the robot stewardess say the following words "Get ready for MACH3".
That will be when we'll start our flight.

2 , you let the robot stewardess say the following words "Well done".
That will be when we are under attack and you shoot an alien down.

3 , you let the robot stewardess say the following words "Game over".
That will be when we are crashing on a planet.

4 , you let the robot stewardess say the following words "Oh boy !".
That will be when you can really write some sensual software for her.

5 , you turn on the engines.

6 , you let the passengers know that the Loriciels Flying Company wishes you
    a good flight.

7 , you let the passengers know to turn off their PC's, we're ready for takeoff.

8 , you let the passengers know we are under attack and all to grap their
    joysticks (amigas) / keyboards (pc).

9 , you let the passengers know the ship has been taken over by terrorists and
they want to fly to jupiter. ( ed: not to pluto....walt disney=america, you
know that and they want to cuba after all. )

0 , you let the passengers know to grap their jetpacks and eject from the ship
    immediately cause we are crashing.

- , you let the passengers know they are such some cute passengers and you love
to fly them to the milky way next time again.

P , you turn on the inboard radio.

B , you allow hip-hop, acid-house, defbeat rappers to go ahead.

X , you teleport to destination. this is when you had enough of it and tell the
passengers you had the solarwind in the back, so they arrived earlier.

So far the tour around the ship, i would like to give the word to our president.

pres: thank you james. And he turned off the robot. The president then walked
to his personal computer, an old 586, and started to write on his text for james.
( Since it would be very impolite to hang over his shoulder and write down
what's on the screen, I hereby give you a laseroutput. )

-When the beatbox is ON you can press all keys again to start a new sample while
the other is still playing. When beatbox is OFF, you have to wait for the sample
to end.
-P plays a song written in the file song.m3. When you type the file, you can
see the data contains only keys between 1 and - on the keyboard. The keys
you press are the keys you put in the song to play the same sample.
The program is ignoring all other keys like @#$%^, RETURN, ^Z, TAB etc.
-Pressing P while a song is playing, pauses the song. Pressing P again starts
playing again.
-When beatbox is ON while playing a song, lets you play samples. When beatbox
is OFF while playing a song, you cannot interrupt.
-When your soundblaster is using other IRQ lines or other OUT ports, you
will have to use a program called INST-DRV.EXE ( it came along with your sound-
blaster ) to let CT-VOICE.DRV know you want to use other than standard ports/IRQ
lines. Compatible like hell it is yeah.

The president put away his remote keyboard and took his joystick for a good
game of "Black-Hole 3D TETRIS".
Months later we found james's head on the trashbelt. He had to make place for a
James-de-Luxe II with still better 8 stereo DAC, 64 bits 16x oversampling sound.
Yeah that's the way ( aha aha ) the president liked it ( aha aha ).
