Internal Music Player 2.0a

So what is it?
IMP is a music player. All it does is play music files.

Oh great, another .mod player?
Nope. This plays the myriad of chip formats. No .mod support
cos there's too many .mod players..

So what format's does it play?
It can currently recognise the following formats :-

Mad Max (The first thing everybody learns how to play)
        Count Zero (The second..)
        Trimod (Insignia internal tracker stuff)
Big Alec (Old and SID stuff)
Megatizer (Digi Drum as well as normal internal)
Misfits (Whom? From a GFA demo?)
        Lotus (Digi Drum I think)
XLR8 (Nice chip editor..not seen many music files..)
        David Brimble (Codemasters music)
        Benn Daglish
        Sound Images (Pang, Lemmings etc..)
Grazey (P.H.F.) relocated files..though this is a maybe as I only
                        have one .gsr file!

It can play all those plus

        LAP
        Tao of Acf.
So why can't it recognise them? Well, to cut a long
story short, I've had too much work on over the years
to actually figure them out. As far as I can tell each
music file has a slightly different play routine..

Note : Big Alec tunes where the driver branches +8 on the vbl,
will be listed as his SID routine. Ain't anything to fret about..

But it can't play this one?
There is an option via play that allows you to enter your own
music format. This however isn't added into IMP for ever, if
you want that you'll have to send me the details to the
address at the end of the document.
After all, if you want to play something, that chances
are that somebody else will too..

Compatibility
IMP -SHOULD- (Fingers crossed, rubbing lucky charms) work on a
Falcon. Don't quote me on that though. If it does screw up,
        then its not my fault!

NOTE: This is a compiled STOS product (bleargh), so if it
doesn't work on your TOS, then change it with the STOSFIX proggy.
NOTE ALSO: The executable has been packed with Atomik 3.6, so
you'll need a depacker before you can fix it. Such is life..

Hello's
Greets to all the music guru's on the ST. Whopping thanks to
Mug Uk, Mookie of Adrenalin (Now dead) and Grazey of The P.H.F..

Shareware rears its ugly head again
Yes, this little proggy is SHAREWARE..

If you like it, and use it, then PLEASE send a sum of 5, yes
FIVE, pounds (STERLING) to me. If you are going to send a
cheque, please make it payable to
        	'Mr. J. Lewis.'
I know what you are thinking, shareware is easy for you. You
don't have to pay, cos the programmer will never know. But for
gods sake think about it. Most large software houses have LEFT
the ST/STE/TT/Falcon scene! If you don't support shareware you
won't have ANY new software to play with at all!
Shareware authors have to pay the bills too you know!

So what do I get if I register?
If you do register, you will get a registration key, which will
unlock, as it were, the irritating message that pop up every
	now and again.
This 'key' will work with ALL future developments of IMP.
So once you've payed up, then you don't have to do it again!

How to register
When you do register, please send your original copy of IMP, along
with all its relevant files, not forgetting the registration
	fee to the address below.
You will receive the latest version of IMP along with a
working code key a few days later.

	Here's hoping you are honest..

Whats this Gu-E then?
Gu-E is the windowing system. Hopefully it makes IMP look less
	like a STOS product..
The idea behind Gu-E is that everything is clear. Not hidden
away under menu's. You smack a button, it does what it says..

Goodbyes..
	Have fun..
	Till next time..
