stage7: Sometimes the best things happen when you less expect them.
When I first met ksk I was not aware that I would be releasing a production
together just because we had almost the same exact model of a Chinese thing
that output animations in a LED screen. We based our idea on experiments by
@VixusFoxy that were no more than bypassing censorship in a mobile app that
sent text messages to a screen. But of course that was not enough for us so
started working on procedural animations for 48x12 pixels. Seeing the final
result I think we accomplished our mission.
This is an intro you can actually fit in a gas mask. For an optimal
experience with your drone friends please use an MSA Millennium. If you run

ksk: This was a long time coming. Many months ago stage7 asked what
I knew about these Bluetooth LED screens. I knew very little, but it pushed
us to do something, and lead me to join Genshiken. In just 21h we cracked &
reversed the protocol, with first animation after 47h. The road to here was
far longer. One overengineered framework, some neat effects and a VRC6 tune
later, we present "Bitmask". We managed to fit it in 64k too. The last part
is less original but on a screen like this it's hard to resist tradition ;)
This also marks my first scene prod but I've been dabbling in these
waters for a while. I hope the result is something enjoyable. Sadly I can't
come to Euskal in person, at least not this year, but still look forward to
seeing the reactions as I tune in from the UK. If you'd like to say hi, I'm
