Not the kind of thing you want the demoscene to be known for..

category: general [glöplog]
And of course, you needed to pay in order to fuck her :)

I would just like to remind you all that our "Pornographic" demo is an ironic twist to all this. AND it was presented at The Gathering :P Noone seemed to take the point, though :)
Damn, it needs PS!!! :P

Ofcourse. We had to censor the stuff :P
first of all: i rant as much as i want to on my own dam blog.

I feel no need what so ever try reply this incident by filming other guys(or the guilty ones) small dots of a dick(kan i say dick in a forum?pherhaps "penis" is more apropriate..)

I was furious becouse letting these guys get away with being wandless perverts (gamers or not) is not a good way to make any kind of good culture. And i do not need a bodyguard, pherhaps a burka but that would interfere with my rigth fist dating the pervs teeths.

by the way the twats did not have the gust to film upclose, they had to use zoom, guess it would be to humiliating to get beat up by a skinny girl.

Nah not going back to TG, im not a gamer, to bad really that it turned out that way. I did enjoy the demos that were there, even if some cuntrag beside me, kept commeting loudly during the show.

Beside Dominei here was so kind to write me an invite to Solskogen, breakepoint or even evok if i want to, so be my personal guide?

if you come to evoke, do you mind if i film you? (from far away since i'm quite shy)

Okkie: you can film me upclose and smiling if you ask first. promise not to hurt you.

okkie: we have something else to film first, remember.

Fact is that there are a few dumb wankers in the demoscene, and that this won't probably ever stop.

One example was the ATI presentation at Breakpoint. I was positively surprised how unimpressed Natasha handled the things that people shouted at her - but I also was able to hear and understand many of the things that some cowards were shouting in German. Which she didn't understand. Which was kind of good, because I would seriously have KILLED those few idiots if I'd been in her situation.

95% of the demoscene are great people who often like to get drunk and vulgar, but who always treat women (like everyone else) with respect. That's one of the things I like about that.

The problem is that the other 5% might release tit videos. That's a thing that we might have to live with. But hey, perhaps those 5% might start to have to live with the occasional fist in their face or completely destroyed video cam. Those things happen, don't they?

(Yep, violence is good. Sometimes.)

eye: your comments are so sexist :/

knos: word.

katla: making fun at these lamers in a wild or a demo ala abcdemo would be the best revenge >:]

on the other hand this rather insignificant incident doesn't deserve such a fuss, and btw men can't help carrying a boob-radar in their brains ;)

sincerely... although I deeply disrespect doing so childish stuff (and getting all stupid when there's a girl in front of you, just for the fact that she's a girl), I also consider very childish this girls' attitude of going and complaining about some morons getting pictures of her to use at a wild entry... this is the scene, it's unformal and disrepectful (on productions, not against other people) in nature... one of it's attractiveness comes on making fun of others, and you can see that on many productions since '88 or so. Not that these guys at TG could be considered 'demoscene', or even that their attitude is the best at it, but complaining and crying out on an internet blog, generalizing on everyone in the scene, is just as childish, so please STFU, move on, life continues, and nothing bad happened.

My 2 euro cents

yes, some guy with a "bergen accent"? fucking annoying, i was sitting right in front of him.

Oh, and that occasional fist in the face (or the butt) might also be a nice option for the wankers who try to raise attention for their lamer-crews by testing their audio-equipment with pr0n-stuff on every scene-party I've ever been.
Normally around 3 a.m. or during the competitions.

Katla, ok, i read your blog... and i think about the same... i DO NOT respect the behaviour of those childish kids, but then again, i still find all of that childish... they went into the showers, they took pictures of your tits and butt... so what? does the world end up there? go and slap their faces or whatever, instead of shouting out loud...

I've had worse things happening to me, which involved money and other stuff at some demoparties, and even if I had complained about this or that people, I won't go generalizing about a party or the demoscene crew (like you did with TG). If you don't like TG, that's ok, but your way of writing it (which might be due to a poor english at some moment, that's right), sounds more childish than what the kids actually did.

Katla: i re-read your message in the log. sorry for you. but i really cannot put myself in your situation. but hey, there must be some reson why there are so few girls at demoparties. in fact, to the one i met a short while ago, i didn't recommend going to a demoparty, although i could get her interested in the scene in general. My first oarty was last year's BP, and i was there with a certain lady who invited me. Back then i thought "wow! here are about 3 girls here, how can they stand all that???". so, like, make your choice - perhaps to save your nerves for something else. people without respect are not going to be punished. on the other hand, if relation of females was close to 50%, this would prossibly cause the guys to be more respectful, since they won't feel "among themselves" any longer. what am i thinking of? it's impossible anyway.

i hear, at some other party, a guy was stolen a notebook which belonged to his chief... do you feel better now?
added on the 2004-04-19 19:25:55 by eye eye
a lot better, at least somone didn't steel his notebook becouse he was a guy...

It's a nice little problem isn't it? few girls makes stuipid (oh here it comes the bad word) sexist behavior be excepted.
But stuipd things like that will not make girls go to The gathering or similar places(and that was as far as i could see the pont the one starting this tread tried to make).

I don't mind the demoscene, nor datapartyes, i midnt that the fact that even though security did talk to the guys(caugth red handed editing the video) they let them stay. And therby letting such behavior be OK.

jcl: did i say the demoscene was a bad thing? actualy that was the only thing i liked with the whole happening. But it wasn't worth beeing staked by some brats that daddy had bougth them a camera.
Would i had hit them with somthing hard if i got my hands on them? yep, do doubt. Chrushed their camera? yes, absolutly. Been a bitch: you bet. Traded the whole thing with getting my pc stolen: any time, if that what it takes to make TG and other partyes a just as nice place for girls as for boys(men, whatever)

It's great that some see that this was not about my titts, but about harasment (whups i said another bad word, if you have seen to much bad drama on tv, males should start getting their temper up by now)

Will i give of on my hobby and passion: not for the wankers on row 52.

i thought norway was more strict with those kind of behaviours at parties.. atleast i remember at trax00 couple security men ringing some alarm and running to catch a kid who dared to run some pr0n video at his computer. but then again the security guys at trax00 were complete nazis..

whopsy, lots of spelling errors, but if in doubt of my point, i'll correct it later.

OK, I'll spell a couple of things out for you as it seems rather necessary...

- First of all, stop confusing those Gameboy digicam peepers with the demoscene. We hate them just as much as you do, albeit for entirely different reasons.
- Blogs take time. Time is valuable. Blogs are not.
- You go to The Gathering and Dreamhack to learn more about the demoscene? Good luck.
- And last but not least, stop confusing those Gameboy digicam peepers with the demoscene. We hate them just as much as you do, albeit for entirely different reasons.
