Fusion6502 Board

category: general [glöplog]

Have you seen this folks?
Its like c64,a800 or apple2 on steroids. Fonts (c64), Graphics (256 and more) and sounds (MOD) is like on Amiga or Atari STE (lot of colors, big sprites).

It will be neat demoplatform board (f6502 category) I think!
With good price - ideal!

aghaghahgahg dat stacked RAM chip. Welcome back to the good old days of electronics.
Quite nice anyway.
I didn't read the whole thread but is there any prototype instead of a dev board with quick fix?

Yep. Could be. With some demo...

Why do I have a feeling that it's mainly hardware developers who are interested in these hardware development projects. From a software and demo point of view, I want the platform to be fixed. Changing the platform just because someone likes making hardware feels extremely pointless.

It's fun to experiment with new platforms and see how things are with a different hardware sometimes. But, to each their own things :)

One or the other of these boards may become a new fixed platform. It's a bit sad that the Pico8 achieved that but there isn't any real hardware. To anyone with hardware world domination plans: make sure to write the emulator first!
Yes I can imagine it as something like http://www.retroleum.co.uk/electronics-articles/v6z80p/
or smaller. It will be something like Amiga / Atari ST or PC-Engine.
Modern 8bit platform. When there will be emulator and when it will use sprites/pictures from PC, MOD from trackers it will be nice platform for homebrew games and demos...
