text:

Yes, this is the very machine that such classic demos as Desert Dream, Guardian Dragon I+II, Egrigious, Kefrens Megamix, and all productions from Laxity of Kefrens up till 1993 is produced on. The appearance of the machine is admittedly less than brilliant, but the machine is fully functional, comes with power supply, a 1MB RAM extension, CHIP/FAST switch, HALT interrupt switch, separate sound filter LED and is otherwise 100% original, SERIAL NO 659325. There's an original Kefrens sticker on it as well. If you're a fan of the demoscene and in particular these productions, this is a valuable artifact!

ehr..

300 bucks for a beat up amiga used by some old scene guy? :)

For fucks sake, did he use that thing to light his BBQ grill with?

Clean it up, remove the sticker and sell the thing for what it's worth: a couple of tenners. Or shoot Laxity in the head. Dead artists make a lot more moolah.

if i'd ever set up a scene museum like i always dream of - i definetely would buy this...

dip: might I interest you in my original, handpainted 486DLC, AT computer, my busted sneakers (used around 2002-2004) and 70 empty Malboro packs Okkie has lying about?

Call me a bit cynical, but if you buy a busted (okay, it *is* fully functional) Amiga for that kind of cash you are stupid. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

Also - people should *donate* to that scene-museum. I have some empty pizza cartons lying around, which are available through Shifter.

sigh.. we finally flush him out of the woodworks for mindcandy, and he wants to unload his amiga? personally, i'd hold on to it.. especially given its condition. it's a nostalgia piece.

where nostalgia can be converted to cold, hard, lovable cash.

I mean, look at Transformers...

Also, sagacity is right. Donate this to a guy like dip to start a museum if were talking about "valuable" scene artifacts. If you only wish to make *money* off this busted toaster, you're obviously not into this scene thing anymore.

Wow... that Amiga looks like someone buried it in dirt, and dragged it around...

I also have an a500 for sale, it is much cleaner. But if you want I can also spoil and sign it! Asking $199 - a bargain!

are we sure it's actually laxity selling it? could be some fanboy picked it up somewhere and thought he could make some quick cash.. :)

If you guys pay me enough for my a1200 I'll promise to never do another demo again...
No bids yet. Isn't there any hardcore fans out there that do anything just be as cool as Laxity and get that "valuable artifact".
Crusader: Perhaps he dug it down and wished for it to grow and become a super cluster. When that didn't work he probably decided to sell it....

I'm selling my old tubesock that i've used for lots and lots of relief during my coding-sessions. bids, anyone?

It would be very nice for a scene museum. If I were a millionaire, I'd buy this in a second. But.. I'm not.

I can't understand how people can sell their amiga though. I wouldn't sell my A500 even for $1000. I wouldn't trade it for 10 NIB A500s.

If it included work-in-progress versions of Desert Dream, I guess I would fork out for it.
I have some work-in-progress effects from Razor 1991 - Voyage, plus a mail from Sim describing them, and it rocks. =D
