I've been wondering whether the producer of Jeskola Buzz is related to the demogroup Jeskola Productions that was active back in 1994-1995 and was later merged with Orange, or if it's a coincidence? Is Jeskola a Finnish word? What does it mean in English?

Jeskola is a fish, kind of like a trout but smaller and has bigger eyes.

oskari, buzz's main coder was/is in jeskola. unsure what his nick was back then. unsure, also, if he ever considered himself an orange member.

as far as i got it, lemming formed the group from his own name and oskari tammelin joined later.

Aren't you sure you are not referring about Jamm (galvados) instead of Jeskola when talking about merging into Orange?

it all started when the earth cooled down and the dinosaurs started to rule the earth. then, a small creature came from nowhere and shouted "NiR!!!" and the dinosaurs died with terror. then, after the hirmu era, small men with green hair were falling into death while trying to build bridges, dig holes and explode themselves. then, the first rotating cube rotated. finally, oskari coded buzz and named it after his group.

and then, inerciademoparty2005 was a success.

I've played a bit with Buzz yesterday and noticed that the standard package is distributed along with a lot of plug-ins made by demosceners, which made me wonder about the Buzz producer's relationship with the demoscene. And since Oskari is Finnish, just like the demogroup Jeskola, this seemed to be quite likely to be possible.

so, buzz can be counted as an officlal j!p release?
