La demoscène québecoise / The French language took over pouet.net ;)

http://web.archive.org/web/20010331041053/www.kt3z.com/debut.htm

The only time that I heard spoken about Quebec demoscene in Quebec it was with this television programme presented on the chain Ztélé The emission was entitled KT3Z, an emission highly centered on the field of data processing and in advance over its time, that resembled the emission The ScreenSavers a little on the old network of TechTv television but even more “geek” I find… Unfortunately the emission did not last a long time, surely because of a too restricted audience. In short, here part of their old Web site. http://web.archive.org/web/20010331041053/www.kt3z.com/debut.htm On the page of their site one can see there: “We seek a crew of DemoMakers to take part in a special emission. If you know some, send an email to David. ” I do not want to thus type the translation in English I will use google to translate what I have just written in French.

In any event, it seems to write in French now, therefore is this seems that the French language took control of pouet.net, everyone maintaining time on pouet.net to less pay attention to the English language by using the merdic translations of the software to grant a kind of support to the French language?

If you wouldn't be able to argue yourself out of a wet paper bag in a language we're all expected to understand, you'd revert to your mother tongue too. Even if only to ignore how bad you are at discussing your point of view.

This is why I'm glad the Finns and Hungarians either shut up or are actually competent enough to bring the point home in English. We'd be in several sediments of shit if they did what the French do.

I didn't know there were so many well-known sceners living
in Montreal.
Is it because of Ubisoft Montreal or EA Montreal or something else ?
What are they doing there ?
What jobs do they have ?
Are some of them students studying in Montreal ?

Phoenix: maybe because they are getting old and are more or less retired :)

ATH500: most (if not all) work at Ubisoft.

While we're at it:
How do I say "Wow, that's a pretty nice rack." in French? It shoud sound like "A friend translated 'Excuse me, where do I find position X on this map?' into French for me."
tabarnak pretty much nails it.

Erlebe Kanada!
