rubicante, why are you actually planning to arrive on 11th only? i think it's kinda weird to come from so far away and then leave out one of 2 days. no chance you can come on 10th? there will actually be quite a lot of fun and action on the 10th already...

:) heheheh my vacation starts Friday at 6pm once I finish work so I'll be hopping a flight out of Ottawa to Washington and then to Amsterdam. I arrive in Amsterdam at 7am on Saturday the 11th.. Once there, taking the ICE to Cologne. Should be there for like... 1pm-ish.... and tired as HELL! So off to my hotel for a catnap and then I'll show up at zee party and we shall have a nice drink... or 5!
My only low point is flying through the US... fuck what a pain that is! You get there... and then it's like: Where you going? Where you from? Why you going there? You know Osama? Where are the WMD's?
HHAHA ok funny story... last year after the BUENZLI party, I flew home and was wearing my "All your Base are belong to us shirt" which on the back says "Somebody set us up the bomb" and has a little graphic of a bomb. I was flying Continental (a US carrier) and on the plane one of the flight attendants was like "ummm don't you think its maybe a little offensive to wear that shirt that says "bomb" on the back?" I was so dumbfounded by the question that I just looked at her like she was retarded. I really didn't know what to say! So I started ... "umm ok so there is this video game from Japan and" ... "no I was just saying... the shirt... it might ... upset someone.. OHH FORGET IT!" And walks away kinda pissed cuz she felt stupid. I start chuckliing to myself...and the dude next to me is like "YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME!" and I'm like "YES EXACTLY!" Then she comes back and is like "look I'm not trying to be hard on you... but at the same time.. you have to understand the situation in the US... your not American are you" ... I just look at her.... shake my head slowly and say nothing. Then I'm like "ok go to this website and...." and again she walks away. LOL good times!

Rubicante... see if Continental has the same deal to Europe as last year. It flies out of Newark and was actually a pretty good flight for the price!

Rubicante, good luck on that passport! I think the wait is several months this summer, even expedited processing is taking much longer than usual.
dnes: that makes me sad. :( On the bright side, if I cant make it, at least my passport is good for 10 years, so maybe I could make another one. I wont give up. :)
i guess the US government is delaying passport emission just in case any terrorist born in the US is plotting to crash some planes. :)
